Ridiculous. The Bidwills know more about money, how to run a business and more about football than you would ever DREAM to know of. Comments like yours are about as dumb and misguided as they come.

How can you make that claim? Totally uncalled for.

The only fact that we can cite is that the Cardinals are hands-down the worst franchise in NFL football since 1988, when they came to Arizona. Hands-down. No competition.

The only "fact" we can cite is that the Bidwill family has owned and run a professional franchise for many many years and have turned a small investment into at least a half a billion dollar company. They have also gotten a stadium built and contributed to their community in a positive way.

That's why I can make the claim.

If he shows me that he has succesfully run a business of that magnitude for the length of time the Bidwills have then I'll retract my comments and apologize.

I think there is risk due to the location. Its far out and there is not a lot out there at this time. I live in Scottsdale and there is a tremendous amount of construction going on around the Scottsdale Airport for business parks. This is also just 30 minutes to the Phoenix airport while the Bidwill Glendale project is about 50 minutes to the airport. But perhaps the Glendale area will eventually become a real boom area and they will make millions on their investment. Time will tell.

Far out there? Eventually? Wow, are you out of touch. The whole area has exploded with growth and we damned near have gridlock on the 101 loop all day.

From my house in Peoria, I often have to go south, past the stadium to the 101 - I10 intersection to see a matinee movie in the mega-shopping-complex being built there and already overwhelmed. I'm often forced to take surface streets rather than the freeway because of construction work constrictions.

Even that is a crap shoot because Glendale is always ripping up and widening street after street as developments go in.

The Governor and John McCain had to intercede last year in a huge fight between developers and Luke Air Force base because the Air Force was terrified about losing its biggest fighter pilot training base to flight path encroachment.
