Green Bay probably would have beat them and I agree that KC will beat them. Rams should be thankful the Chargers slowed the Seahawks momentum.

I think the Rams will make some noise come playoff time but that defense is even worse than their 2000 team. If McVay doesn't do something to fix that as well as not fall into the trap of taking Gurley out of the game, I don't think they're a SB team. With Gurley and Brown the Rams could be manipulating games a lot more than they have and keeping their defense off the field.

IMO, they should be running the ball more and sustaining drives to help that defense out.
Saints = Bad defense
Green Bay = Bad defense
Chiefs = Bad defense
New England = not great defense
Rams= serious weakness w/ Marcus Peters

You can't compare with the 2000 team, because this is a new era of rules that hamstring defenses...The Rams showed heart tonight, so there is that

Rams looked very, very good - Saints looked great - Saints took advantage of two situations where the Rams failed - it happens and was still a great game by the Rams.

Both of these teams are playing at a Superbowl level right now.

well said. But I now hate Thomas for the freaking cell phone stunt. I hope to God we meet them again, preferably in LA....

Rams may not be so cocky now moving forward and now No guarantees they end up with home-field advantage
I can see a chance for Rams to run the table the rest of the schedule.

@ Chicago
@ Detroit
@Arizona
Eagles and 49ers at home

Saints schedule

at Bengals
vs Eagles
at Dallas
at Tampa
at Panthers
vs Steelers
vs Panthers

Last 3 games could be a killer for best record home field NFC playoff . 5 of those games are with playoff teams.

Obviously the Rams D is ok just a bad secondary day. We scored errrrrrr yeah that's right we didn't score against them. Thanks Wilks thanks
Talib is coming back off injury and Dante Fowler acquired in trade from Jags should make a difference. Brees had way too much time in pocket. If Fowler can pass rush, Suh, Donald and Brockers should be more effective.

BTW on field ref and replay guy screwed Rams on fake FG run. 4th down and holder Heckert takes off. Makes it easily by at least a yard on his dive out of bounds.

I thought the spot was good in the fact that they spotted the ball where it was when the Ram player's knee went out of bounds. At the point the knee crossed over the out of bounds line the ball was still not at the first down marker. I thought it was a good spot.

I think the Saints gave a formula to other teams on how to slow down the Rams offense. Stop Gurley early but you do need to have a strong secondary. If you don't then stopping Gurley will not matter. It also helped that the Saints rolling up points in the first half was effective in taking the Rams out of their normal game plan and rendered Gurley less effective since they need to pass more to catch up.

Hekker was extended before the the knee touched, with the ball clearly over the 1st down line. Would the team have scored after that? Don't know. But that call ensured that the Rams wouldn't score anything off that drive.

Talib will be back before the playoffs. I believe he will be back just after our bye. So I guess abusing Peters will last for the Hawk and Chefs game, anyway.

Marcus Peters blows. Chiefs cut him loose for a reason.

Don't know about that. He was good before the calf injury slowed him down. He should have taken some weeks off instead of being a slow liability out there. Talib will come back in Week 13, and things will be a lot different I think. I am VERY excited about Fowler at OLB. I think he will add a dimension besides just great push by the Interior Dline. But Brees was able to thwart them by dumping the ball off quick to Thomas because of Peters, mostly.

He is a free lancer who goes for the big play pick and fails miserably at it.

He's failing miserably with it because right now he's just a guy. He had the speed to make up for missing before the calf injury.
