I dont know how to imbed on this board but, here it is if you havnt seen it.

Absurd... that might be the most humiliating dunk I've seen since Vince Carter jumped over that dude's head.

Griffin will probably end up in a fight or two along the way, he does rub a lot of people the wrong way. Still, there was nothing wrong with last night's dunk. It was pure power but that's what the play called for and if he'd gone up just a little softer he'd have ended up on his butt with nothing but a couple of free throws to show for it.

He's not my favorite human being but for as long as his knees hold up, I'd love to have Blake on my team. I don't know how much value he'll have once all those landings take their toll but until then, he's an incredible player.

Im not criticizing the dunk, it just that players do not take too kindly to the "posterizing" stuff. Especially when teams announcers start naming dunks after them. He will make a move, and they will just deck him. A guy flying high like that is really vulnerable.

Heard about it all morning on the radio. I don't know, I was expecting more. C'mon, Blake, step up your game!

i was wondering that too. i mean look at VC right now, and even in the past 4years he's lost a lot of lift.

i hope for his sake that he develops other parts of his game. even though he may not suffer any major injury, he will probably lose a lot of his hops later.

It's especially a problem for someone like Griffin because he's a bit undersized for the position and style that he plays. But, most of us had the same concerns about Amare and he still strung together some pretty impressive seasons. Without the serious knee and eye injuries he'd have probably continued to dominate into his early 30's before the wear and tear started his decline. Barring a catastrophic injury, Blake should still have a decade or so at the top of his game.

Sports 620 is reporting that Perkins deleted his Twitter account after that dunk.

And so a new term is brought into the American Lexicon:

Instead of being "posterized", a player is now "detwittered".

OK, that fact that he made the shot was sick but it's not like he powered through the guy to get a rim shattering dunk. He almost threw it in.

It was still sick though considering it was in Perkins face.

You have to give credit to Perkins for attempting to defend that. Perk even admitted it was a good play on him. You have to respect that. Durant was asked about the dunk after the game and said, "I don't care about that dunk".
The same reporter asked why he ran away from being posterized by blake, after the Perk dunk. KD's reponse was- "I was being pushed out of the way".

Look at Durant running as if a plane was falling in the vicinity. No push, just running for his life. lol

I dont blame Durant, he is no match for Griffin. Attempting to stop that would have been a career suicide. :)

With all his power dunk, i still think Amare's dunk in his prime are nastier than Blakes's

Blake just gets higher and throws them down further from the rim. In that dunk, his head looks like it is even with the rim and he is almost a full arm length away from the rim laterally. I think he got higher by pushing off Perkins.

It's one of the best layups I've ever seen. kind of like one of jason terry's dunk. almost gets the rim, but not quite. best layup i've seen since dwight howard's superman at the "dunk" contest.

I assume you say that his hands have to touch the rim for it to be a dunk. My definition would be a bit broader. If he is forcing the ball in a downward trajectory through the hoop, its a dunk.

I respect your definition, but I don't agree.

I like slam dunks. I'm not hating on the guy. he is the best dunker in the league. but that wasn't a dunk. it was a highlight that I could never dream of making, but still not a dunk.
