Ah, thanks...

He wasn't wide open or else he wouldn't have been sandwiched as soon as the ball got there. Focusing on that is getting sidetracked, though. This conversation started because a bunch of you guys are trying to demonize Leinart for something that was nothing more than an off-target through. He didn't throw in to coverage, he didn't lead Boldin in to a defender, he simply threw high. It happens. Even Kurt Warner, who is one of the most accurate passers in history, has been throwing high pretty regularly this year. In the 49ers game when Fitz was running a deep route Kurt overthrew him so that he had to dive for the ball and the 49er landed on his knee which took him out of the game for a while and was a scary situation. No one made a big deal about the throw because it was just an inaccurate pass. I'm sure if it was Matt who threw it you guys would be on him for almost injuring Larry.
I just can't take your opinion on this seriously when you trashed Matt in about 4 different threads on Sunday and have been continuing every day since then. We're about the host a playoff game this weekend and you guys just want to talk about how much you hate Matt Leinart. I think that's pretty lame. He might not be the best QB in the league but in the last few days posters are jumping all over him criticizing him for every little thing. Calling him a douchebag, bringing up his offseason party from a few years ago, etc. His pass to Boldin the other day was one that we see from every QB all the time, it just happens that this time the WR came down awkward.
Kudos. The way he lives his life?? Huh? Unless you know things I don't, I have no clue about how Matty lives his life. Nor do I care how he lives his life. All I care about is how he lives his life on the football field. And from my point of view, he's lived an immensely crappy life thus far!
Also, unless you know things I don't, I have no idea what would cause you to say that my "fandom" of Kurt "goes beyond the football field"... What the hell does that even mean??
FWIW, my bagging on Leinart has been more like a "La soupe de l'An"... I've been bagging on Leinart since the day Fatso drafted him.
?
Mes excuses, mais je ne suit familier avec l'expression.
I've made the comment more than once over the last several years - that Leinart will single-handidly shorten the careers of both Fitz and Q. Many here attacked me for making this claim, but I still stand by it today. Leinart is a train-wreck waiting to happen. Because of his inadequacies, he will continue to cause collateral damage all over the field, in the form of losses and player injuries. It's simply pure luck that he hasn't caused more injuries. That luck will quickly dry up once he becomes a starter and is throwing the ball 30 or more times a game...
I'm more then a little jaded my self but this assertation is ridiculous. What do you mean, like when Kurt hung up Boldin and almost killed him against the Jets last year?
This happens from time to time with every QB. Its part of the game.
We get you and Shane are pathological in your vitirol for Matt. I think everybody agrees he has not done what we would have hoped this year. But the crap that spews out of you two is almost like you take joy in his having a rough game. Can't you be a little more even handed?
Lord knows I am.
Honestly it kills both of your credibility on other subjects when you carry on like this. Mitch is Pro Warner and not a big fan of Leinart but at least he doesn't come off like a raving fan boy when he critiques. And Shane i love ya but you are better then this, 82 I am not as sure
When Leinart throws FIVE interceptions in one game after 10 years in the NFL, at home, after playing in three super bowls, with two of the best veteran wide receivers in the league running routes, I'll start bashing him.
OK maybe not that's too much so I'll look for him to throw at least a couple of picks, one in the Super Bowl, that get returned 100 yards for TDs before giving up on him. OK maybe that's too harsh. So I'll wait for Matt to lose his starting job to Josh McCown before saying ML is a bust.
That is kind of silly. When Leinart throws FIVE interceptions in one game after 10 years in the NFL, at home, after playing in three super bowls, with two of the best veteran wide receivers in the league running routes, I'll start bashing him.

Maybe this why his contract hasn't been extended yet...??? I call him "Whizenstupid" for playing all of his PRO BOWL players. Now he may have lost us another chance at the Super Bowl.
BOBCAT
Did anyone pay any attention to Green Bay playing all there stars including the QB through 3 quarters when the game was out of reach?
As to whether Whiz made a dumb move or not will be decided after the game on Sunday. Fact is we got our butts kicked because we did not play our starters from start to finish. Different coaches in the NFL play games like this in different manners. Some chose to play like Green Bay and go all out to win. They were lucky we had no blitz package what so ever and there QB took no hits. I do not know the breakdown but I would guess Green Bay starters had more playing time than Cardinal starters. Certainly their QB and defensive line standouts did. We are all looking at this game in hindsight. These guys have played hard all season and basically came through it without a lot of injuries. We got a bit unlucky on Sunday losing DRC. Dallas and the Eagles went at it all out and for good reason. The bottom line is that they had fewer injuries than we did regardless of who started or how hard they played and the fact the best guys were in there all the way. If we had no injuries I suspect we would all be praising Whiz for resting all his starters. The fat lady has not sang yet and the game that counts has yet to be played.
It was intended to be.
