This is a step in the right direction. The issue is far from over but apparently the 2 sides are talking and thats more than we had yesterday.
I think it's great that he is attending the workouts. Thats one thing I was blasting him about. Keep negotiating but keep working toward the start of the season.
I could'nt care less about any jibberish coming out of Rosenblowme's mouth.

Are you all nuts? This is all a big nothing. Boldin skipped the mandatory sessions where they did football things like run patterns and catch. Now he'll show up for voluntary weight lifting sessions. Gee wow.

There is a mandatory minicamp in June. Let's see if Boldin shows up then.

I was under the impression that the only minicamp for all the players was the one that was just held. I think there are several for rookies only and that is it untill training camp in August.

Yeah teams are lining up to put Jason White and his super strong knees on their roster. :D

Make a knee stronger? Like, what? You can lift more weight?

The ACL is usuall stronger after surgery because they use part of the patellar tendon which tends to be stronger than a normal ACL. The kneecap issue comes into play because taking part of the patellar tendon weakens the patella(the tendon grows back), and then the ACL is stronger so there's more "force" on the patella while it's recovering. That's why players come back at different speeds, a great deal of it relates to how quickly their patellar tendon and Patella rehab.

Not saying tearing an ACL is good for a player, just that at the moment I'd be more worried about the injury Quan had last year, than the ACL.

There are two mandatory weeks in June. It was misreported by one of the papers this week that the rest of the offseason is voluntary.

it is voluntary, but at the same time it is not with Denny Green. This is what I love about our coach and that if he does not see you going full boar by now you are out of here.

Also I keep hearing reports of Bryant being much stronger and faster does anyone keep seeing this or is it just me ?? I know we read a lot of the same stuff last year, however the DUI killed his season last year in regards of Denny placing him in games. I hope it was his last lesson or he is gone .....

i agree skorp. the mood swings on this board are ridiculous. no contract has been signed. in essence, nothing has happened. this is a non-issue.

No doubt.

People are giving a guy porps and actually thinking him for showing up for something he should be doing anyways, 3 weeks to late I might add(14 week workouts started 3 weeks ago I think). He will be here to lift weights, big deal. Where was he during the first live practices and 7 on 7 passing drills with a brand new QB and OC.

Until he shows up for an actual mandatory practice and signs an extension, this is a non issue in my mind as well.

"..and in this corner.."

Some of you idiots sound like Cards Corner on AzCentral!! :biglaugh: You all need to pull your head out of your jockstraps long enough to look objectively at this news. The very fact that none of us IS objective about Anquan Boldin to me shows the power and sway he and his talent/potential holds. I believe it is a positive step; he could have lifted and worked out on his own, as some players do. His character is asserting itself with or without Rosensuck's influence. I believe he understands the importance of showing he's the leader of this offense as the last 2 years have proven. Perhaps he looked at a new OC in Coach Rowan, new QB, new RB and improved O-line and remembered how badly the Cards offense misfired without him the first half of last year- It is a Good Faith Gesture by Q, and the Cards "are now on the clock..."
I believe they will work it out before training camp and I'll wager Q leads the team in receptions again this year-Fitz in yards and TD's, BJohnson in dropped balls.

For the record, I still think he should have been here for the mini camp. That being said, I still think this is a positive move. Not showing up would have just had most of everyone involved growing more bitter about the situation.

I'd like to think that Rosenblowme told him not to show up at all and Q told him he's going anyway. The media coverage of this situation may have played a big role too.

I really believe this deal will get done. I got to believe that Q can see the how this team is coming together and wants to be part of it.

There is no doubt that Boldin should have been in for mini-camp, but I think him coming in now can only be seen as a positive. There is not much anyone can do about him missing. Let's just get him signed and move on.

yeah - agree as well. I guess people are just dying for ANY kind of good news. Not a big deal to me - although I DO think a deal will eventually get done.
