Fox 10 news has reported that trade talks have heated up again and that Boldin could be traded before training camp begins. They mentioned the Ravens as very interested in getting a deal done.

I hope the Q does go to the Ravens if he must go according to his horrible situation (poor little Anquan) and that the recent shuffling in Baltimore gets him on a team with a nice losing record where he can be the man on offense and relive those nice losing years with the Cardinals which seems so dear to him

This is basically non-stop circulating 'news'. Rosenhaus makes a comment on his twitter, and all of a sudden all these new rumors start to become public. Cards aren't stupid, they aren't going to trade either Boldin or Dockett. Unless of course baltimore offers suggs, which they wont, so no trades this year.

Mason's injury could be pushing Baltimore to get this done.

If they offer up a first and third, I'd do the deal.

before teh draft i would take a first and a third. but we want to win now with warner. unless they give up suggs or another good player with a pick, no deal.

Yep. Its a win now model. Getting rid of Q means we wasted money on Warner and Matt should be starting. Q stays.

If we can get a first and third for Q now I would still do it. Yeah it would have been nice to get it before the draft. But if he is going to holdout and cause a bunch of problems I say that you have to pull the trigger.

Suggs + Heap...!!! If they are hurting so badly for a WR and Boldin is it then we should get nothing less. End of Discussion...!!! Now that is how you wheel and Deal...!!! Case Closed...!!!

I disagree. We were 5-1 without Q last year and Warner at the helm. Bring in Early Doucet and see what he could do. Sometimes last year (and I know Q is a top 10 reciever in the league) I think it was more about Kurt finding the open guy than the recievers getting the yards after catch. The plays we ran and the way Warner got the ball out was our biggest factor in winning in my honest opinion.

So we are better off without 80+ catches, 11 TDs and 1k yards? I'd rather not "see what Doucet can do." While he may be good someday, you are not trying to win now by giving up that kind of production. What if, God forbid, Fitz gets hurt? It's not about Kurt finding the open guy. These receivers don't get separation. He needs them to be able to go up and get it and make plays when they do. Q has made a career of that in case you missed it.

Again I disagree with you. As much as I want to win this year, I want to be a winning franchise for a long time. If that means we can trade Q and get some either A) multiple draft picks or B) good defensive young players I'm all for it because I feel like they make us better in the long run. You're entitled to your opinion but we have 2 totally different feelings about it. In the end its all the same goal though. We want to win football games and I feel like Kurt with or without Q can do it with the recievers we have on our roster (minus Q).

I'd love Suggs or Ngata, but I just can't see the Ravens trading either one of them for Boldin. Especially with the reported lack of general trade interest before the draft. Jarret Johnson might be a possibitliy if they like Paul Kruger enough to take his place.

I understand the desire to win now, but there's no guarantee Warner or Boldin will be healthy this season, and one more disgruntled, injury-plagued season could further damage Q's already questionable trade value. Plus, if the podcast reports about Doucet and Long are true, winning now without Boldin could still happen.

You guys need to learn to become numb to the Boldin trade rumors until they come from a source other than Rosenscum. Every time there is a Boldin trade rumor on ESPN, it is either by him calling his friends over at that station (remember that stupid cafeteria commercial) or him Twittering.

Rosenscum has found himself in a corner in this negotiation and he caused it by signing two deals prematurely in Dockett and Q. Had he just been patient, he would have gotten his clients better deals.

Im not saying I think he will be traded. Until it happens were all just speculating and today gives us something else to speculate on. I agree with you though Dayman. I dont think the Ravens would even entertain a Boldin for Suggs straight up. But would anybody do Boldin/4th for Suggs? Is that still not enough or is it to much?

A first and third isn't going to get it done for me now unless it's for a terrible team. Seattle will most likely get a lotto pick from Denver next year; I want one too.

Sorry but picks would have been an option before the draft, if we trade Boldin we need help this season so now the price is a player. Suggs or no deal.

I would take Suggs for Boldin straight up, at least we would have a solution if Dansby leaves which is a major possiblity. And frankly, as hard it is to believe, Fitzgerald is still going to get better and so will Breaston and I have faith that Leinart is far from a bust and can function well with those WRs and a young talented Doucet who needs a chance when that time without Warner comes (maybe even this year with Warner's injury history)...and if Wells works out, yes we can win now and in the future without Boldin if need be. As Wolfely said on the NFL Network, this defense needs to get better. Heck, it would freaking awesome (and probably remote) if this team had Hayes, was able to keep Dansby past this season, and add Suggs in the mix

a 1st and 3rd in next years draft is considered much better than a 1st and 3rd in this years draft. Next years draft class is more highly regarded.

5-1 without Q, against mostly BAD teams. I believe we are better WITH Q.
