BOS trades

LaFrentz
Stewart
Gugliotta

BOS gets

Kenny Thomas
Robinson

They get a tougher, better rebounder PF for LaFrentz plus Thomas has a better contract too. Robinson may give some depth to their bench.

PHI trades

Kenny Thomas
Robinson
Dalembert

PHI gets

Richardson
LaFrentz
Stewart

O'Brien loves everyone who can hit some J's. If 3P-s too he will be extremely happy. Both Q and LaFrentz can.

PHO trades

Richardson

PHO gets

Dalembert
Gugliotta

Suns gets some financial relief for re-signing both JJ and Dalembert. Re-acquiring of Gugliotta would be fantastic. Perhaps Penny and Eisley are the next?

Richardson isn't going anywhere.

I'd bet that Joe Johnson would go before Q. Neither will I think.

I agree with the assessment, although I don't necessarily agree with the statement.

very true . Q and JJ are very talented and promising players . I dont think they are going to be traded . Nash (30) JJ (23) Q (24) Matrix (26) STAT (22) they are all very young and they are playing great , what about after 3 years ?? I say keep them all .

I really don't understand why there's a Trade Talk right now in PHO??

What's wrong? PHO has a TERRIFIC record so far and even though most of the efforts are from the Big 3, it doesn't mean all the other players are not working hard to get this record.

I think this Trade Talk is bad. It has bad influence on Q and JJ. If I were them, I would be pissed. They are part of this great success and now with ONLY a month into the season, there's already talk on trading them.

Does this mean that Q and JJ don't need to play that hard because they'll get traded anyway?

This is plain stupid if you ask me. And who wants Gugliotta?!!!! That guy is old and I doubt he can keep up with Nash's game. And Gugliotta isn't particularly "long" and powerful. I doubt he'll improve Sun's defense.

I don't know..I am just highly annoyed right now with this trade talk. It's not like Suns is on a losing streak and people start to question the players. Suns has been winning!!

I don't think trading a player that had signed as a free agent only a few months ago brings much respectability to the team and the team's management. This move would send negative signals to future free agents.....

Niether Richardson or Gugliotta could be traded until latter in the season because they signed new FA contracts in the off season.

Right on Jimmy,

We have been a terrible ball club for quite some time. FINALLY now we have a unit that is just tearing up the league and we're trying see who we can trade from it.

What is going on!!!

Keep JJ. Keep Q.

I don't want GOOGS again!!!!

What does Dalembert bring that Hunter can't in time.

Later in the season meaning 9 days....

Any player who signed a contract in the offseason cannot be traded until Dec. 15th.....

The idea that the Suns would re-acquire Gugliotta in a trade is absurd. I suspect that hcsilla was making a joke.

Also, there is no way in hell that Boston is going to trade LaFrentz, now that he is finally looking healthy and playing very well. Remember, Ainge really wanted him.

This tells you MANAGEMENT is probably more important than the players themselves. I really don't know what Suns' management is thinking right now. I am from Vancouver, BC and trust me, I know how a management can KILL a team. The old Griz is a classic example. Bad contract after bad contracts... sigh.

Honestly, I don't think Spurs is HIGHLY talented but they may have the best management and coach. They don't switch players like switching channels. You need to let players to grow together and form a TEAM.

A team is just like Painting. You can throw all kinds of beautiful colors on the paper but they won't look right unless they are put together in an artistic way. Lakers 2003 is a GREAT example of how the management sucks and how having 4 all-star players is NOT equal to W.

Pistons is an example that Suns should learn from (not in terms of gameplay, I hate their slow games). They don't have particularly talented players but they won the championship because they play like a team.

Having a trade talk during a successful season is just wrong. You watch... I have a feeling Suns is going to lose the next game. LOL Talk about bad luck.

You are from BC? Cool! Well, I used to live there but after I graduated, I moved to Maryland to start my own internet company. LOL

But I still love Canada. :)

I wish Nash could have played for a Canadian NBA team... oh well.

Jibikao,

There isn't trade talk from the Suns. All it said was they were being flooded with inquiries about their players. Ford even had BC saying it would be real hard to pull the trigger on something. Obviously he would do it if it was something major, but don't look for anything.

There is a big difference between other teams wanting your guys, and you wanting a trade.

I am sure the Suns players know this. It happens anytime a team has a surplus of good players at 1 position.

Oh, GOOD GOOD. I thought there's an "inside" rumors that the Suns has been looking for a trade. I mean they just got 14-3 record and they want a trade? For what? That part I didn't understand and I guess that's why. LOL

I was joking that his re-acquiring would be fantastic for the Suns. Actually he (as a player) would be an absolut non-factor in ANY trade.

a slightly more proven track record. hunter doesn't have a streak of games like dalemberts to end last season.

I hope BC tells them that it is the other teams that want to talk them being taded, not the Suns. They shouldn't be PO'ed if everyone wants them. :D

You are absolutely correct. In order to be respected by other possible free agents the Phoenix Suns cannot trade Q unless he wants to go somewhere else. I would say they can't really trade him for at least 1-2 years.

There's absolutely no way any of the core players are being traded as long as the team is playing this well. I'm sure the Suns are trying to get a feel for the kind of money that JJ will be asking for next summer. Of course there are far too many variables at this point to really have any idea.

If they are really worried that some other team will sign him to a large offer sheet next summer that they just cannot afford to match the Suns might try to move him around the trade deadline. They won't just give him away though.

Now it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Suns made some smaller moves with guys like CJ, Lampe, Zarko, draft picks, etc.. Still, have a hard time believing they will do anything while the team is this hot.

Yeah, I got it. :) But how come we have surplus at position #1 or 2?? We have surplus shooting guards or forwards?

JJ and Q are both starting calibur shooting guards. On a normal team, only one of them would start. Having both is seen as a luxury the suns have, so other teams will constantly try to pry one of them away.

If Hunter can give good play for 18-20 minutes a game, the calls will cease because that is all anyone is offering. No one is offering a 32 minute impact player.
