I find it unlikely the Suns never asked him about the NTC. With all the rumors flying, Beal comes home every night and his wife asks, "Have you heard anything? Are we staying in Phoenix?" Night after night Brad just says, "I haven't heard anything yet." I know at some point my wife would say, "Either you are going to ask while you are at work, or I will ask! You want me to go down there to find out?" LOL!

He controlled his movement though. It doesn't need to be a question that's asked. He has veto ability and his agent knows where he'd be ok going so there's no reason to involve Beal in a discussion.

I still find it semantics. There was probably a trade scenario where we did ask if he would go to that team. We asked his agent, which IS like asking Bradley, and he said no. Except semantics wise, they can say we didn't NOT ask Bradley, while thinking, we asked his agent, so technically we didn't ask Bradley directly. The reporters ask, did you ask Brdley? The answer is no. If they asked, did you ask his agent? the answer is Yes. It's all a game. You didn't ask the right question. HA HA!

While we can't prove it, there was the rumor his agent/him was asked about Milwaukee and was told that wasn't a place he would go.

I would guess the trade clause never mattered because we couldn’t find anyone willing to take him without heavy compensation that we couldn’t afford.

These things go through agents, so Beal wouldn't have to be asked directly about a no trade clause. Both sides could be correct.

That's exactly what I think happened. No need to ask him to waive his NTC when nobody give you any kind o an offer.

Yeah with his salary and the fact he can't stay healthy for 2 hours straight, no way could we move him without adding a lot of value. So the NTC is moot.
Settle in, guys. We are stuck with him for two more full seasons. I can't imagine the next two will be any different.

I'm counting on trading Beal as an expiring contract for the 2026/27 season. Please tell me it's possible.

I think there's a real chance he's moved this offseason. We'll see what happens. Ideally the FO finds a new home for KD and then Beal is a bit more receptive to a trade somewhere.

I don't mind him in the super 6th man role but at his salary that's a losing plan long term.
