As much as I want the Cards to lead the league in drops, I have never wanted Edwards, and now I REALLY don't want him.

What I dont get is how dumb are these guys that they dont realize that they are costing themselves millions of dollars with actions like this... Its one thing to do this when you already have a contract its entirely another when you are trying to get one... Would i sign him, one year deal for next to nothing guaranteed so that if i need to cut his sorry ass three games into the season no sweat off my back but I would honestly prefer Floyd or even talking Moss out of retirement...

He had FOUR drops for the Jets last season....to go with his 53 catches and 7 TDs (tied for 12th for fewest drop % in the NFL). Fitz had 3 drops (#4 overall).

Desean Jackson had 12 drops, Brandon Marshall 13 & Wes Welker 14.

BTW Breaston had 8 drops.

Sure he was dropping balls in Cleveland when he had DA & Quinn throwing to him but his last 2 years in NY he has done a good job.

Edwards - tick Tick TIck TICk TICK .......BOOM

Just say no folks. I spent Sunday glued to my computer with 3 windows open tracking the potential of us signing him and hoping we would. I got caught up in the excitement that was our amazing FA signings thus far.

Just say no, we don't need the drama.

Me too. If they want to go WR I'd like to see them target Steve Smith.

They said on Sportscenter that the Panthers expect Steve Smith to miss half the season with his injury.

No thanks!

(if there was some sort of sarcasm or inside joke there and I missed it, sorry!):D

Wait, which Steve Smith we talking about NYG or Panthers?

NYG Smith is a FA...I don't think Panthers Smith is.

should've stepped up and signed James Jones when they had the chance. I don't think this will have anything to do with the Cards interest/lack of interest in Edwards. It was his friends who got into a fight, not him. He wasn't charged or arrested. To me, it's a non-story.

to an extent you are who you hang with, I doubt that the incident will not have an affect on teams interested in signing him...at the very least I think what happened killed any hope of him getting a long term deal with anyone.

I love it. His value just went down the tube. We should be able to sign him cheap now. This couldn't have come at a better time. So many of these players are this stupid. Just look at Mike Vick and Plaxico Burress to name a couple. We get him on the cheap now and make him play and be good to dangle another contract in front of him.

Wow. How can anyone be so stupid?

"Let me count the ways."

He has passed the point many say...yeah he's an idiot, but he is our idiot!!

as much as he would be a ++ player if his head was screwed on right, there must be someone out there now or when the cuts start that can get it done as well. the decision will also rest upon who the enforcers may be on the team that can keep him somewhat straight...porter? rhodes?

I ain't know choir boy either, but as it is said if you sleep with the pigs you smell like them too.....just not an overall good thing...and as we all know guys who get off on eating ice cream cones are not big fans of guys like this...he has oakland written all over him as much as i think he would be a ++ if he stayed straight.

not sure why we were even looking at a criminal in the first place. 100% not interested. We have enough WRs

If I want to see reruns of Law and Order, all I have to do is tune in NBC week nights at 10 pm.

Fortunately, Floyd's still a possible option. Or we can roll with Roberts. Or get lucky with Sampson.

I don't want this dope at minimum wage. He's a knucklehead who is already facing a 4-game suspension for DWI. Thank God Kerry Rhodes is not the Cardinals GM.

Re: Floyd...no doubt would be a + pick-up but now we have the oft overused phrase bantered around "all in" obviously the team is going for with certain signings and going balls out to get NO. 11 to commit...the big if will be if the "enforcers" on the team can keep a guy like him straight...then the risk for a year or so equates to low risk and possibly very high return. Jeff, you must have seen some good stuff with the Jets last year. Just based on the metrics looked "awfully good"
