Looks like we are not hesitating to sign these "short term" deals. These deals are beneficial to the Cards and the Players if they do well this season. I think our new CB (Marshall?) is just coming here to build his value back up. If Duece has another good year and shows up next year with out his own zip code he will be worth a bunch too.

The Cardinals are in discussions with free agent Braylon Edwards about a "short-term" deal.
The Cards don't want to commit long term to Edwards, which makes plenty of sense. He's got too many off-field interests for a team to assume he'll stay motivated. Edwards could try to have a big year in Arizona and hope the free agent wideout market isn't as deep next year as it was this year. It very much hurt Edwards' free agency value that four-year free agents became unrestricted. Jul 31, 8:33 PM
