Nope that wasn't a strike and as far as I know punishment handed down by the commissioner for stuff like this is arbitrary depending on the severity of the crime. This isn't like the drug policy. And for all the bad pub he gets, Joey hasn't had any run ins with the law. Hes just a trash talking hot head on the field.

Joey had a bad rep so maybe Goodell steps in and throws down a one game suspension, but that would be at the most. And I got the Vbookie money ready for anyone who wants to bet.

I'll bet he gets called to the Commissioner's office for a little eye-to-eye with the headmaster. No suspension.

Look at his size lol. I'd pull my gun too if some 6'3 250 lbs pound guy (in pretty ridiculous shape) got out and started walking at me. The cop did the right thing.

Maybe he will and maybe he wont. I would bet no as well. But I wouldnt make a blanket statement that he hasent had ANY run ins with the law either.

Yeah brecause with a commisioner that's made a name for himself as a hard ass when it comes to off the field issues I'm sure he's going to look the other way if the assault on a police officer accusation stands. If it does I'm guessing Porter could get a four game suspension.
Either way this guy was signed to be a leader not a good way to start off.

If, if, if... and yes, I agree, he was signed to lead.

That accusation won't stand. Depending on whether they drew his blood or did a breath test, none of it may stand.

This guy is an idiot. First the comments about assassins and now this.

Maybe they can void his contract.

Well, the timing couldn't have been at the worst possible moment ( just signed) but these type of things tend to be more than they actually are. Slapping a hand could be as little as moving the hand away to actually slapping the hand...I'll just wait till I hear more about this in the coming days.

Not a good way to start your tenure here, Porter.

If he was arrested for DUI you can pretty much guarantee a BAC test was conducted.

I'll reserve judgment until I hear both sides of the story. Initially, though, this looks like a moronic move by Porter. I don't expect every player to live and breathe football, but I do expect players on this team to avoid confrontations in Taco Bell parking lots. But again, it's too early to give an accurate assessment of the situation.

Apparently he wasn't arrested but charged for a misdemeanor assault for hitting Levi Jones. Charges were later dropped.

Other then that, I can't find anything else.

So now can I make a blanket statement?:)

No that WAS a run in as well as the dog issue. Both were "run ins" outcome is irrelevant. How charges were dropped in the Jones case is beyond me especially hitting a defenseless guy like that repeatedly. All on tape too. That incident alone shows his character. Jones himself must have been the proponent behind dropping the charges I would guess.

By the way, I posted to everybody when the idea of Porter was even brought up that the fans in Miami detested Porter and that it wouldn't be long before the majority of Cardinal fans were hating his style and moaning about his trangressions.

Looks like that took all of a week :)

Mark my words, there will be no more polorizing figure on the Cardinals next year then good ol' Jpeezy. This is just the beginning of fan uproar.

Surprised?

Why should anybody on this board be surprised. The guy is a typical athlete in this day and age who has anger management problems.

Congratulations Graves for a great community signing!

Glad he didn't kill himself or anyone else while he was driving around drunk.

LOSER :|

Hey, Joey: "Take some of your millions, find a sober person, and make him your driver."

Man, some of these people will never learn.

Really? Porter wasn't even pulled over. The cops "smelled alcohol" on him after he stopped to see about his friend.

Talk about putting the cart before the horse.

So he and his car teleported into the parking lot? Really? What are the odds he was out drinking and driving? From what was reported - pretty high, wouldn't you say?

This is not meant to be a "told you so" post, but I was one of a few who, unlike many others here were not so quick to bow down at the feet of Whiz and Graves for signing Porter.
As I said then - he's 33 with his best years behind him. To which, people here claimed he's "gonna bring an attitude unlike the Cards have ever seen"... LMAO...

I remain highly skeptical and very unimpressed by this signing...
