If they fire Wilks, they have to fire entire defensive staff as they are his guys. That will come in offseason as you can’t replace an entire staff mid season.

I'm aware that it's not likely it will happen but it needs to happen. What's the worst that can happen? We are already 1 & 6.

Yes, it's too early to rejoice. Unfortunately, this is just a symptom and cure situation where in the big picture, this is just another scapegoat move until proven otherwise. As I have mentioned before, there are too many Jeff Fisher similarities going on with this team and firing the OC for "their" failures is S.O.P. It never solves anything and it isn't what the real problem is.

Scary. He had all off-season to prep and this is the best playcalling he could imagine? The firing is more than warranted, he's going to probably not be an OC again with his past 2 season combined of 1 & 12 as an OC. Despicable that our front office would allow for this disaster to be hired by our organization.

This is his 3rd firing in less than two years from 3 different NFL teams. I'm sure he'll have another job soon.

NOW. Fire and replace this O Line cause it didnt work last year either.
I think with a better scheme the OL can be serviceable. Need to be zone blocking, not power blocking. They have a couple good athletic guys that can move, they just can't bully defenders 1 on 1.

This goes with the theme of the team, though....trying to fit square players into round positions. Just ain't working!

I agree but I wrote this several times yesterday that with this Oline A. Peterson looked old, washed up & finished trying to run behind it last year. He looks like a different player with Washington with already 3 100 yrs games. This line is even worse this year thus making DJ look like hot garbage. Major ungrades are needed.
