Great you fired McCoy so maybe DJ runs some to the outside. What are you going to do about your pathetic D? What are you going to do about the puke of a coach you hired? You like his fight? If he was doing his job he wouldn't need to be fighting. Stupid

His name's attached to the hire and he said he has confidence in Wilks, so yeah, hopefully Wilks is the sword that Keim dies on.
Its easier to fire a OC midseason than a head coach. I think Wilks is done at seasons end.

It can always be worse, the Cardinals are the mascot of that idea.

Not saying this wasn't necessary, not saying I disagree, just saying it like it is.

Obviously, you'd think that this can only get better, and odds are it will, but the Cardinals are another species entirely and rarely perform as expected.

It took an entire off season, 4 preseason games and 7 regular season games to come to the conclusion McCoy was a problem. Brilliant.
Nice, but it isn't like there wasn't a little game tape to go off of. The world didn't need to see McCoy's time as a Cardinal to know that McCoy wasn't a good OC.

Keim said on KTAR this morning that he has confidence in Wilks and likes his passion. I was like, "what freaking passion?" I don't think Wilks is going anywhere ... sadly.

Wilks we be gone once Keim is gone and that will hopefully be sooner rather than later.

Maybe Keim will be next. Let's hope that Wilks is the sword that Keim dies on.

Keim isn't getting fired. Wilks is next to go. Bidwill trusts Keim and both Keim and Wilks are on the first year of new contracts.

Should the team struggle next season, I could see Keim being canned, but he's simply not going to be fired any time soon.

How do you know Keim made the decision to hire wilks? I think this hire has Bidwill over it?
Bidwill put his stamp on it for sure but Keim did all the leg work and picked him, that is his job. (stay in your lane)

Glad it happened...just wish it was 7 games ago.

I know everyone jokes about the fan base being an armchair QB and don't really have any insight into the inner workings of the team but I really think many on this board would do a better job of running this team than some of the FO people we have had over the years. I don't know if it's ego or politics in house but we seem to recognize deficiencies or issues with this team long before the FO. Why Mike McCoy even got another shot after his previous failures is a joke. Most of us could tell after 1 or 2 games that he was unfit, especially with his ridiculous usage of David Johnson. Same goes with the roster holes. How many years have we been clamoring for WR help, OL, LB, #2 CB, etc... Yet the FO seems to disregard and think they are fine. It's really frustrating.

Best case scenario: offense improves, Rosen/DJ/Kirk get some valuable experience playing together this year; defense stinks it up, we continue to lose games, get the #1 pick, Wilks and rest of staff gone at end of season, we switch back to 3-4

Worst case scenario: last night?

Right. Keim met him on vacation. Is everyone forgetting that? This wasn’t bidwill’s hire, but he signed off on him. This was the guy Keim hitched his wagon to.

Does not say much for the HC when he fires his hand picked OC after 7 games.

Scary. He had all off-season to prep and this is the best playcalling he could imagine? The firing is more than warranted, he's going to probably not be an OC again with his past 2 season combined of 1 & 12 as an OC. Despicable that our front office would allow for this disaster to be hired by our organization.
In McCoy's defense, he is using DJ just like he used Melvin Gordon. McCoy is who he has always been, we were just the idiots who hired him expecting something different.

Damn right this is Keim time guy. He bought in to his own celebrity go back to to the hungry GM that took this team to the NFC Championship game and respectability. Make it right Keim

The bad sign for Keim.

Mike McCoy was the same coach in Arizona that he has been his whole career.

Sam Bradford (outside of a little throw inaccuracy) was the same QB in Arizona that he has been his whole career.

Justin Pugh, nicked up prior to joining Arizona, and now nicked up with Arizona.

Robert Nkemdiche, inconsistent in college and inconsistent in the pros.

Deone Bucannon, not a LB in college, and not a LB in the NFL.

Haason Reddick, not a LB in college, and not a LB in the NFL.

###

Keim may be swinging like hell, but he probably should just stop making the same mistakes over and over.
