Yeah Stout I compared him to a slave are you kidding with this crap? As a player he is under THEIR contract thus if they want to explore trades they have the right, he as a player in professional sports should know this happens, suck it up don't be a big douche bag cry baby and demand a trade! Now he got what he wants you think his attitude is going to be better? No he thinks he can cry and piss and moan and get his way sounds like Chicago got a gem! Denver will be better off without him and quite frankly will probably still be a better team than Chicago this year!

What is a man that is property? That would be a slave. You called him property, I didn't.

Cutler didn't act the best in this situation, but McDaniels is trying to paint himself as a saint. The team handled this worse than poorly, and Cutler had every right to be upset.

Why is it when the coaches and management lie it's just "business" and he needs to grow up? I think he handled pretty well. He didn't get into a media smear campaign, he didn't threaten to hold out he said he would be there for all mandatory team activities and he had spent a lot of time with McDaniels prior to Josh(why do I not think that is the right name for a football coach?) orchestrating one of the most epic FUBAR's in NFL history.

What if the first think Caldwell did when he got into the coach's office was start calling around the league to see what he could get for Peyton? Would Peyton have the right to be upset? Would he be an immature punk if he requested a trade after the coach got caught lying to him about it?

No, this whole situation is on McDaniels and maybe more so on Bowlen. Cutler tried to bridge the gap on more than one occasion and the Broncos kept stepping on their own dick. Who knows, maybe this is actually what the Broncos wanted all along and it was orchestrated. Everyone thinks Cutler got what he wanted but the Broncos got franchise player compensation without having to use the tag.

Exactly what Elway did before playing a down in the NFL. :)

McMahon winning a Super Bowl? The defense and the running game won it. Is that debatable?

"If you draft me I will go play baseball".

In the 1983 NFL Draft, Elway was selected as the first overall pick by the Baltimore Colts. Elway had, by then, played two summers of minor league baseball for the New York Yankees organization. Additionally, Elway had publicly stated that he refused to join the Colts organization, feeling the team could not allow him to be successful. If they did not trade him he said he was going to play baseball. Eventually, Colts owner Robert Irsay gave in. The Colts traded him to the Denver Broncos for QB Mark Herrmann, rights to OL Chris Hinton and a first-round pick (OG Ron Solt) in the 1984 NFL Draft on May 2, 1983.

Now that is a prima dona.

There isn't a starting QB in the league who wouldn't consider doing or saying what Cutler did. If that makes him a prima dona, he is riding on a packed bus.

McMahon didn't have an arm. He was tough and smart.

I saw McDanials in an interview on TV. He was 2000 miles away and on TV and his persona oozed *****. He to me has to be the the worst first impressions guy ever. He just looks, sounds, and acts like an *****.

The Belichick factor.

He continues to throw Denver under a bus: claiming that Bear's fans are a 9 compared to Bronco's fans, who are a 6.

Can't wait for the day that Cutler makes a return to Invesco Field.

Why bring up a breaking news thread on the Cutler trade that is old news just to give current information on Cutler and Orton? Live in the present not the past.

Aaron Rodgers got the same treatment last season after he took over for Favre. He went on to have a successful season.

Ohh wait, we are talking about Kyle Orton....nevermind......

Are there any WRs in Chicago? My goodness. There is nobody for Cutler to throw to there. Except the TE. You have a million dollar cannon of an arm, with nothing for it to target.

I think the Bears' WRs are going to surprise this year. Hester is never going to be Jerry Rice, but he could be Willie Gault. He's only played the position for one year, and reports are that he's much improved this season.

Then there's the kid that set all kinds of SEC records ... at Vandy. I guess Cutler lobbied hard for the Donkeys to draft him, so you know they'll have some chemistry.

They also have a really raw kid, Knox, that could turn into a very good receiver eventually. ...Maybe even sooner rather then later.

Greg Olsen is bound to be a BIG part of the passing game, too.

I don't know, Pariah. It sounds like a lot of "what ifs" on that roster, outside of Olsen. And honestly, a cannon like Cutler firing to the TE (even a great TE) is kind of like drafting a jam-at-the-line, physical cornerback with questionable cover skills and playing him 8 yards off the line of scrimmage *coughrollecough*

Just seems like a huge waste of a monster arm.

Denver was in much the same boat in '07. Brandon Marshall wasn't Brandon Marshall at that point. He hadn't done much his rookie year(20 rec/309 yds/2 TD in 15 games), Rod Smith had just retired and Javon Walker turned out to be a dud.

I think the Bears will be thrilled if they can get out of Cutler what he did as a first year starter in '07(63.6%, 3,500, 20 TD/14 INT 88.1 rating). One has to go back to 1995 to see a good year by a Bears QB and that was a fluke year by Erik Kramer that he never got close to again. I think the Bears rival even the Cardinals in terms of the musical chairs of QB's over the years.

Totally agree. Bottom line is, no good qb, no chance at any real success. Smart move by the Bears.

How many first round bust have we had over the past 10 years? We were generally drafting high.

Cutler is not gamble as he is a real NFL QB and your chance of drafting one like him with two 1st round picks are very very low at best. Good deal for Bears if he stays healthy.

7 TD's 1 INT in the last 3 games, all wins. Seems that he has enough weapons.
