According to various sources on Twitter (Urban, Somers, etc.), we're signing Brodie Croyle today on account of Hall's injury.

I'm on board with this. I don't know that he'll beat out Skelton or Bartel, but h has a shot.

Really like this! I've always thought Brodie Croyle was a pretty decent QB and it's not like Todd Haleys system is drastically different than the things we do. Same basic philosophy.

Croyle has a cannon and quick feet. He has average accuracy.

He's not good at reading defenses quickly and he lacks "it."

He's also frail as Don Knotts.

He's a "meh" quarterback besides his absolute cannon.

Yet Whiz does like the big cannon. The bigger the better.

He will have a tough time making the team this late in the ball game. Basically a practice body to compete against Bartel.

Brodie Croyle - QB - Cardinals
Cardinals agreed to terms with QB Brodie Croyle, formerly of the Chiefs.

Croyle attracted little interest on the open market after imploding in a spot start last December. He's now 0-10 in his five-year NFL career as a starter. Croyle is only being brought in for practice depth with John Skelton (ankle) and Max Hall (shoulder) nursing injuries.

cow pies may upgrade Hall and Bartell, I mean they got some talent, upside? but they are both borderline 3rd string emergency NFL QB's, If they leave we aint out much.
pretty much a non factor,
But Croyle has never been on a good team, who knows?
How did Mcnown do in the battle of the bay? hope the raider fans didn't eat him?

Bartel has looked VG in this preseason, but not only is Hall injured but Skelton was hurt in the GB game as well. I don't know if he practiced, yesterday. I don't expect Croyle to beat out Bartel. JMO.

Positives … Has a strong throwing arm that generates good velocity … Shows quick feet getting back to his throwing point … Has enough agility to avoid the pass rush when the pocket collapses … Tough, savvy field leader who does a nice job checking off on the pre-snap and shows awareness to pick up defensive schemes … Throws a tight spiral in the short area, doing a good job of hitting his receivers in stride … When he keeps his feet under, he can deliver the ball with good touch and accuracy … Makes good decisions and would rather take a sack than throw the ball up for grabs … Plays with confidence and has total control in the huddle … Good program type who worked hard in the training room to rehabilitate from his knee injury … Has the confidence needed to make all of his throws and while not a "rah-rah" type, he knows how to get the most out of his teammates … Has better accuracy throwing to the perimeter than over the middle … Has the slide agility to avoid pocket pressure … Effective going through progressions and finding his secondary targets … Will take a hit and instantly bounce back up (tough player) … Has the intelligence to retain plays and easily takes them from the board to the field.

How is Croyle graded?

He graded high with street cred...because that's where he was...on the street.

He is not good and is just taking a spot until Skelton and/or Hall are good to go.

Hall will be getting some street cred soon too I bet.
