You can't keep everyone.

The Denver Broncos re-signed five of their in-house unrestricted free agents this spring, but three other players left the club for better opportunities elsewhere.

The Broncos attempted to re-sign punter Riley Dixon, but he opted to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers instead. Denver later brought in punter Matt Haack on a one-year deal.

Denver also wanted to re-sign wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey, but he left for the chance to earn more playing time with the New York Giants. The Broncos are presumably still in the market for a wide receiver.

In addition to Dixon and Humphrey, the Broncos also attempted to bring back cornerback and special teams ace Tremon Smith, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis. Smith signed with the Houston Texans instead and Denver signed special teamer Trent Sherfield.

Including exclusive rights free agents, Denver has signed 15 players during free agency. Six of the club's in-house free agents joined other teams. Attention now turns toward the 2025 NFL draft in Wisconsin (April 24-26). The Broncos hold seven picks this year.
