It's a little more on target than Levi being an elite tackle. Seriously though I want to see Peterson consistently shutdown top receivers before annointing him as anything. I think Sherman is the best corner in the league for now
Good response.
Peterson is top 10, but he's still young and is still learning the trade.
Best CB in the league. Peterson gets it done with no pass rush and no support outside of a rookie FS.
Sent from RM's Super phone!
He is a better football player in general than any other corner in the league, but going off of just the CB position there are a few that are better right now, Revis and Sherman for starters.
I disagree about the punt returns. Just look at the game yesterday they were trying so hard to keep the ball out of his hands that they were surrendering a lot of field position in the process. Also I think I clearly said that Revis a better corner than PP at this point, but PP isn't just a corner he is a guy that is just a great all around football player. He isn't quite there with Revis in the CB skills, but I think he is close enough to where the other things put him slightly over the top.At which any non-Cardinal fan would retort...
"That doesn't make any sense. Revis is better at 95% of what PP does and he's not the better "football player"? He's been average on PR's and plays no more than 2 snaps per game on offense. That doesn't leapfrog the guy who's the best player at his POSITION".

Enjoyed watching the 'best' turned into a pretzel by Fitz on the td last Sunday.
Yep.I don't know about BA's b.s. but I am glad PP is a Cardinal
After calling LB "elite" everything else he says is just like Charlie Brown's teacher...."Wah, wah....wah, wah wah...."
A Saints fan's opinion: He is top 5 for sure. Then again I'm an LSU homer, so...
Great route but doesn't make me think less of him. Just like PP struggling in the first half. It's impossible to pitch a shutout on the opposing team's best WR. Especially with the new rules.
Btw did you see SNF? Jones and White were getting away with murder on the NE DB's...[/quote]
Didn't see the game.
(Fly from Guernsey to London every Sunday)
He was pumping up Levi's trade value.Hes also said Levi Brown is elite
Ive learned to take what BA says with a warm glass of shut the hell up
PP21 - selected NFC Defensive player of the week.
“That fires me up, Coach Arians has that type of motivation to give to his players,” Peterson told Erik Kuselias in an interview that aired on Wednesday’s Pro Football Talk on NBCSN. “I definitely feel like I am the best corner in the game. I just want to continue getting better every week. I believe if I do my job to the best of my ability, which is going out there and not letting the opponent’s number one receiver to get off and have a big game, I believe we have a big opportunity of winning the ball game. I’m pleased to have that opportunity each and every week to go against the offense’s best receiver. I believe that if you can do that week in and week out then there’s no question that you are the number one defensive back in the league.”
