Bucks are playing @Sac tonight. Giannis just came back from a knee injury and from what I gather, Lillard is nursing a groin problem and is day-to-day. We'll see what it's going to be on Monday.

if oso does start and if he does do well giannis can and will single handedly put him in foul trouble

Hopefully the Suns will have all their big men available. Back in the Finals, the Suns only had Ayton to guard him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns don't throw their other forwards at him as well like Dunn, O'Neale and Martin and spread the fouls out.

A post-trade deadline thought. I think everyone in the world, both fans and Suns FO, understood that Tyus Jones would not be retained after this season; but since Jones has been useless and unproductive this season, I wonder if the FO ever considered making him available as trade bait this past trade season. Dump him on some sucker team that didn't understand how poorly he was playing. If that team wanted to save some money on an expiring contract.

Also Monte Morris. Since the team inexplicably refuses to use him, making his contract a waste of money, I wonder whether it might have made Morris a trade throw-in.

They were minimum contracts. That's it. And we're not in the business of helping other teams because whatever we got back, probably wouldn't be as good. Especially now.

Bradley Beal remains out tonight for the Suns against the Bucks due to a lingering left hamstring strain.Phoenix is 12-3 this season, an 80% winning percentage, when Kevin Durant and Devin Booker play without Beal.

Throwing in one of them might possibly have enticed someone to take Beal's contract.

That's fine, because I wouldn't mind not seeing Beal again.

richards' calf injury likely prohibits him from being as effective with our new defense tonight - plum's age likely prohibits him - bud better stick with what's been working and sprinkle the returning vets in accordingly

if he goes back to the old lackluster energy recipe it means he's over thinking things

Yeah, I'm glad we may have Richards and Plumlee back along with Oso to balance their fouls on Giannis. I'd rather keep him on the FT line than dunking in the paint.

Something tells me they are going to need all of them too.

Pretty sure most conversations never even got that far.

Disagree with you about Beal, but the stats don't lie. He's not a bad player, he's just never available.

The stats say we win more games with him out of the lineup than when he's in it. Even if his individual stats are pretty good.

I read the Suns are 12-3 this season when Booker and Durant play without Beal.

beal might benefit from our new look - beal doesn't know how to play 3rd fiddle but movement is his whole game - hoping his production picks up because of it as we're stuck w/ him

It's obvious that when Beal plays, there are major changes to the gameplan. If we don't shut him down (like we maybe should), then I'd like to see Bud say hell with it, and don't change the gameplan. Let Beal back up Book for a few minutes. Colin/Tyus have earned the right to be the full time point guards at this point. No need forcing Beal into a position that forces Bud to have to gameplan for him.

I'm not sure what the answer is, but if Bradley stuck to playing shooting guard, he might be more effective.

He tends to drive the ball a lot, which hampers ball movement.

So do you think we shouldn't be driving the ball? Rim pressure is a good thing most of the time.

I just don't see many negatives about driving the ball. And Beal by far is our best player at doing it. If the lane is there, you gotta take it. Make the big men have to defend at the rim, opening up shooters from close outs.

amen my man the choir hears you loud and clear - im hoping bud sticks with what (and who's) been working but beal will eventually come back

i think/hope he'll play better with our team basketball mindset - he's a high intensity guy and intensity is our thing now but who knows

This. I wouldn't change anything major at this point and see how it turns out. There should be zero effort to appease Beal at this point.

If he can be an addition to the current team and gameplan, that could be a huge get because he's still a great player. But he needs to be complimentary. That's the key.
