Bye Bye Whiz

I want Whiz to stay but I see nothing that shows any reason to keep him. He sucks, He has not adjusted back after KW left, He really out sucks the fired coaches pretty bad.

No matter who or what the QB is he throws 2 times to every run, not very well either.

starting stupid THT, Now after starting 35 times, Whiz has not left any doubts that THT is not a starting quality Rb.

Credibility, thy name ain't Thesmel. You keep making claims such as this and they are absolutely impossible to believe. You've said before that you really like the guy and then you've followed that up by trashing everything about the man on a personal and professional level. Say what you mean - you can't stand the guy and you'd like to see him standing on the street corner begging for change. You're not running for office here (are you?).

Its pretty embarrassing when other coaches (Pete Caroll) notice that our team isn't being properly used. What's he know, though... Not like hes playing for a chance to host a playoff game or anything.

People on this forum can pick QBs better than Wiz, maybe not me, but I know that was a all time stupid move benching Skelton like that. He threw him in the frying pan Leinart style. He passes and the D knows we are going to pass. He is a joke this year.

So we see a lot of Whiz shortcomings - if things don't change, then he probably won't succeed.

It is in these instances that having a strong GM helps the HC focus on the part of the job that the HC is good at and then turns over the part of the coaching staff that is failing.

The suckiness isn't all Whiz (though this year has been a real letdown), you have to throw Graves and Bidwill in there also, and then see what the response in the next couple of days and weeks.

you know i can't really disagree with this, although i think you have to give whiz a bit of a pass this year losing the players we lost and suffering the warner hangover is a lot to overcome, this offseason will determine whiz future in the nfl, he better make a whole lot of wholesale changes and get this ship turned around if we look as bad next season as we do this year whiz won't make it through the season,
we will see an interim coach by thanksgiving

I agree, but no matter how bad this team is next year Wiz will is the HC for at least the next two seasons IMO. It's not that they were 5-11, it's that they were 5-11 with talent and gave up on so many games and played with little heart. That comes back to coaching.

It certainly is possible for him to be fired, though I am not sure it will happen. I think the Dallas win saved him if saving was needed, but getting demolised twice by the Crap Niners and Seahawks could still seal his fate.

Of all the division winners last year Dallas, Vikings, and Cardinals; Whis is the only coach with a job.

I'm torn because I have seen his assetts under Cower and with Haley.
He basically has to be kept in check, keeping him doing what He is good at doing.

problem is He is the decider with his new contract and Graves is spineless as a supevisor with Denny and Whiz, Only supervision He did with Denny was fire him. With Mike Bidwills blessing.

I remember being against the grain, (imagine that) wanting Denny to have one more year, My reasoning was we had the Superbowl in Arizona that year, Edge and leinart had shown promise. Our best chance for a home SB, was not ripping it all apart and starting over.

Bill Cower kept Whiz's playcalling in check, that my friends is obvious, Even Haley ran the ball when it counted, like the games we actually won in 2008, including the playoffs.

So outside sources evaluate Whiz's top skill as loyalty, I see that with Porter, Haggins, Ross, Faneca, morey and Mcfadden. I really don't see what he is better at than any other NFL coach.

Same penalty, undicipline problems as year 1, Same time and game management problems as year 1, same playcalling problems as year 1( after Matt went down with injury in game 5 since)

I don't know what you all see. I seen it then and every since, Our collapse late in 2008 I was a so and so for pleading for Edge and E Green, winning covered up alot of stench. But i said what I meant and meant what I said.

I'm well documented on profootballcentral predicting most before it happened, the good and the bad since offseason of 2007. yea I get beat with my misses but I had alot things wrong including this.

I say Pay a new GM like Marty Schottenheimer and give him the power to mamage, supervise and help Whiz, or fire Whiz, Thats what GM's do,

We seen this before in Buddy Ryan, great coach that could not handle operations and personell, Denny was great at operations and personell but weak on coaching.

This aint Cards fans first rodeo, except for first time weve extended a head coach at top coach money. Whiz went through tossing Matty and other players trying to force square pegs in round holes.

It aint even a doubt about this at this point, My fear I voiced for years has reached fruitation. We suck, And Whiz does not have the ability to overcome this adversity, without major help and major changes and new systems that fit our personell.

Its been 5 years, of trying to get personell to fit the 3-4 and we suck even more at it1 last in everything,
