Adult human beings can hold multiple attitudes about something. It's possible to look at a lot of the comments about Newton and think "Dang that seems really racist" and also to look at Newton and think "This guy is a giant baby, and I like watching showboating *******s get crushed. Nothing about this guy is remotely likeable."

You can think both of those things, I swear. It's OK.

Can we just drop the "Some people don't like Cam Newton because he is black" thing? While that may be true, I am pretty sure that isn't on this board and it ruins the conversation.

Chris I think you're incredibly naive if you think it's not present on this board. But I agree, it has ZERO to do with whether or not he's a wimp in failing to dive on that loose ball.

Nah, all this shows is he cannot take the reality of the moment and man up through the media screw up. Look, even in a loss, the Bret Favres of the world would have heard the other team talking and did something witty like "there you go, something like that... let's wait for that guy to finish and it might be while because we they did more today than we did to earn the win", you do not walk out because all of a sudden it really is not all about you and what you did right

Trust me I am not a Cam fan. I just put it there for those interested. I still think he shouldn't have walked out.

I can watch this a thousand times and I will still never know what was going through his head at that moment. I don't think it was a "Business Decision" because it looked like an impulsive reaction, not anything he had time to think about.

Still, he dared teams to stop his celebrations by stopping him. Denver did just that and an unhappy Cam is a bad sport, apparently.

I have watched a lot of QBs walk out to that mike and act like a man and answer silly questions. He celebrates like a kid, and then acts like a complete baby. I was so disappointed with him. I now have to put him in my rear view mirror as I have lost all respect for him. Still cannot handle the kryptonite...

Newton heard what was being said at an adjacent stage because the silence at his own was overwhelming. No answers, monosyllabic answers, and 2 word answers do not make for ambient noise. His choice. Had he contributed with a dialog he would not have suffered from a case of rabbit ears. Rather than shrug it off he took his ball and went home.

In a way, I'm sure Cam is thrilled at how this all shaped out. I mean, they lost, he played terrible, but the day after the game what are we all talking about? Cams favorite subject, Cam Newton...

Cam loves him some Cam. He will spin all this by taking zero accountability for any of it and just label anyone who is critical of him a "HATER" and claim that he's using it to "fuel his fire!" or some cliched nonsense like that.

The best thing anyone could have done to teach Cam a lesson is completely ignore him. He would lose his mind!

Watch that video closely the other Panther 67 has a curious way of reaching for the ball looks lame to me.

What am I saying?

Why bother?

Watch it closer.

Look at number 67 and his attempt to fall on it.

Ok this is for the Super Bowl, both guys on the Panthers should nearly give their lives for that ball.

That's not what I see going on by either of them.

What it is?

I'm not saying it I shouldn't have to it looks beyond bizarre and I'm not the one who has to explain what it is.

Well, if this was a foxhole, and the ball was a grenade.

#67 is at least trying to throw his body on it.. Where Cam just runs out of the foxhole asap! :D

I still don't get what is exactly is said to offend him?

Force him to throw the football was the game plan obviously coming from an interview of a Bronco's player right next to him.

Given that setup I can't blame him and watching that I would of walked off too.

They could of separated the interviews there was no need for that.

Watch it again he holds himself up by his arms instead of just falling on it then he feebly reaches for it.

I don't think I have to draw a picture but apparently I do.

I know exactly what your talking about... All I'm saying is.. One is making a half-assed effort at it.. While the other is clearing making an effort to vacate the area.
