Marshall has said that he is undecided if he will return to play next year.. Also he is a back up and he had only 265 yards last year or so.. Can KW make him come to the desert and would it be worth it? I think it would be a great move and I think MF is only 32 and he might have a good 2 years left in him...if not atleast one year and since he is thinking abt retirement he wouldnt mind signing a one year deal... He doesnt need to be the No1 back in our team, but considering how well our other backs play,he might end up being the No1 back.. He can catch the ball better than any other back IMHO. I think he will be a great addition..what do you guys think??

Even though I think that Marshall might be over the hill and on the downside of his career, he would be a great 3rd down back for this team. He knows how to pick up a blitz and is still a threat out of the backfield. If he is willing to come here for a low salary I will take him.

Marshall is passing the prime for a running back. He is also smallish like the backs we have. We need a power runner in the worst sort of way. A guy who still fights long after he has passed the line of scrimmage. One with the spirit and heard of a Boldin. QB's can play until they are 40 in some cases. RB's are usually done for in thier early 30's. We need Warner a lot more than we do Faulk. Just because Josh had one very good game do not get sucked into thinking he is the QB of the future.

Did you even read the guy's post? He makes some valid points. Save your cries for acceptance for someplace where people care.

While Marshall isn't what he used to be, he's still got more heart than most running back's out there. He regularly fights for first downs and still has a knack for getting into the end zone when given the chance. His familiarity with the offense and Warner wouldn't be such a bad thing either. As for his size, well, Steven Jackson's a big and powerful rb but didn't improve the Rams' short yardage game at all. Without an improvement on the o-line, I don't think a team's going to succeed any more with a big back compared to an average sized back (Faulk).

Faulk sucks now, we don't want your over the hill trash. Follow Kurt Warner here, fine. Don't expect him to pack along all your favorite players though. Marshall is no better then JJ at this point. He is utterly useless to this team, except for Warnerphiles getting to see the old duo together again.

Hell no... I'm tired of this being a retread career dumping ground. We need to "grow our own". We don't need to keep picking up has been players.

If we got Marshall, maybe we could get Emmit back too.
Hell I bet Namath would come for the right price.

Cardiac Cards? We could be the Geriatric Cards !

We're entering the off-season with most money of all teams.

Shaun Alexander, Edge, Jamal Lewis are free agents.

Ricky Williams can be brought in at minimal cost

And you want to sign Faulk?

The problems with our RBs are not their part of the passing game or their pass-blocking, which Faulk still excels at. We need help at RB for running the ball - Ricky Williams, Edge, Jamal Lewis, William Green et al would help this team so much more than Faulk IMO.

Not having Emmitt cost us wins this year, make no mistake about it.

I'm not particularly in favor of trying to bring Faulk to the valley, but this deserves a hearty :biglaugh:

So, I guess you didn't read the original post then? A troglodyte such as yourself can't help but sink to insults and the equivelant of grunts and groans to express your opinion since you don't have anything valid to add to the conversation.

Please, tell me why Faulk would be a bad thing if he was brought in as a third down specialist, depth and veteran leadership? I guarantee you that he still catches the ball out of the backfield better than anything the Cardinals have as well as most rb's throughout the league. On top of that, I would bet my bottom dollar that he would have 5+ td's in the red zone this year under the same circumstances that JJ and Shipp got...2 was it? This system was built for him for heaven's sake.

Yeah, it's just crazy talk to want to improve the backfield.

Hell, if you really want something to be pissed about, I wouldn't mind seeing the Card's pick up Az Hakim to stretch the field and create mismatchs. Even after his hip and leg injuries he's still a great slot receiver and he's a stud in this type of offense. Just because these guys are ex-Rams doesn't mean that they couldn't come in and improve the cohesion of the offense, especially when it would be with a qb that they're familiar with.

Actually, if Bruce is available(Rams still haven't committed to re-signing, restructuring and they're likely not going to pay the huge roster increase he's getting this year) I would take him over Hakim and move Anquan to the slot and use him as a Shannon Sharpe type of wr/te. But, I've got a sneaking suspicion they won't be calling me any time soon for advice. I say Bruce because there wouldn't be a learning curve, like there wouldn't be with Faulk or Hakim. It's not that I want to see Rams come to Arizona, just guys that won't slow down the cohesion.

If M Faulk can run the ball efectively next season, so can JJ IMO. I would not pay big $$$ to Faulk at this time. The Cardinals need a starting RB.

Marshall Faulk is pretty much over-the-hill & Bidwill is done signing these types of players. If we want to take a risk on a running back, then it should be Ricky Williams. We could probably get him for a 3rd or 4th rd pick. We need a bigger back that either plows through a defense or drags the D with him. Jamal Lewis will be a Pro Bowler again, but he wants BIG, BIG bucks. No more smallish, quick guys. WE NEED A JOHN RIGGINS TYPE BACK!!!!!

Ok Mr.CardinalLaw... I guess you are not very cultured to make a or discussion. It was my opinion that we might be able to bring MF for a very cheap price and it might be worth it and I just for the other peoples opinions too...I really dont see a fault at what I did...anyway, for your comments that warnerphiles and how I want the old duo together and all that stuff, you are right, I came to this country in 2000 and the first game I ever watched was the superbowl 2001.. So, I heard a lot about Warner and Faulk and I have been a fan of KW especially since then...and an ardent fan of football too..so,lot of people made valid points for why they dont want MF here and I agree with most of them ( like gettin Ricky Williams cheaper especially)...Btw, why are you so mad at KW and the past Rams fans anyways, its not like they are trashing the Cardinals that has won 10 of the last 15 superbowls by bringing Kurt Warner...
I also made some post last time and you called me Brenda Warner..I think I am allowed to root for any player that i like...I always thought this country freedom of speech for everyone...maybe you should campaign to change that...so just post your opinions and stop ridiculing others at every opportunity that you get....
