I have watched it 3 times now and I can tell you it was not Warner. Step got stood up drove back into him as soon as he snapped the ball.

Warner played terrible and, to me, was the reason for this loss, but this was not Warner's fault.

Question: If he this happened wouldn't the RAMs D-tackle be offsides?

I'm so mad right now I can't believe it.

I say it's getting close to Leinart time but Green has to know if he does that he might not be the coach next year unless Matt is ready.

Yeah, I can't believe how super freaking pissed off I am either. I wasn't that angry after the Seattle game, but today is killing me!

Green won't be coaching here next year regardless.

I think that was the worst interception I've ever seen. Honestly.

I so badly wanted for Leinart to sit on the bench for a year and just get used to the pro game.

But that pick right there may cause enough of a backlash that KW will get benched sooner than later.

I don't care what was promised to KW. You can be throw three picks a game (two inside FG range) and expect to keep your job. It's not going to happen.

That interception was godawful. Absolutely horrible.

I agree with your post 100%.

What does it matter anymore? Did you see the looks on the faces of the players after the game? They were pissed for good reason.

We are talking about our QB of the future... our franchise QB. You don't feed him to the wolves, on the road, as a first experience in the league.

The chance of this happening are slim and none. And the slim part is KW being unable to play next week.

Warner had the ball in his hands right? In his possession? Would any opther QB drop that? You can't answer that, but if you look at the numbers... Chances are Kurt does.

Yeah kinda, but it was knocked loose way before he could even get out from under center. In the big scheme it means nothing. Warner played awful and I have no problem putting the loss on him for his performance

Just imagine Josh having this game, he'd be figuratively shot by the fans, Warner just isn't what I want to see, I know I don't have the say so on it but the Leinart era can't start fast enough for me, I'm 40 soon to be 41 and time is now more important to me than it used to be.

Step did not get stood up. He didnt even go backwards. Look at his feet when the ball is snaped then look at his feet when Warner fumbles they are in the same exact spot with Step leaning forwards.

Brown knocks the ball forward after Kurt leaves without it.

I watched it three times on super slow motion frame by frame, Kurt leaves without the ball.

But I don't care anymore, Warner was just awful with Ball control, the dude has Dave Krieg disease in it's advanced stages.

Then maybe it was Brown.

Regardless, to me, it is irrelevant. Warner was awful, this was just the icing on the proverbial crap cake.

I understand what you are saying, but its the 4th game of the season. Kurt Warner was named starter long before Matt was drafted. Denny answered Q's on it saying Kurt gives us "The best chance to win." Do you still believe that? Its been easy to fault others for Kurt's performance and Denny's decisions. I do not believe Kurt is the best QB on the team anymore. If Matt were to come out, throw 3 picks and blow the game late with a fumble, then there would be a contreversy. Kurt was named starter to take us to the playoffs. At this rate, we are looking at another top 10 pick.

At this point, I have no problem with Leinart coming in this year. If, at best, we're going to win 6 / 7 games then I'm for him getting the experience. I just don't think it will be as of next week. Unless we win one on the road, then I can see the Leinart era starting as of the next home game.

I just don't want to watch that mess again. I would consider not watching the next game (If Warner started) if I had something better to do on Sunday.

At the risk of sounding totally contrarian, how did everyone feel about Warner after week 1? I think that is closer to the real Warner than what we have seen the last two weeks. I really do believe that.

One of the problems is when Kurt gets drilled early in games, you can clearly see his body language change and his decision making seems to become somewhat clouded.

Now, I am not thinking the OL can prevent Kurt from EVER getting hit but I think it was clear after that hit early on, he wasn't the same QB as just minutes earlier. The O still moved pertty decent all things considered but when it came to some of his decisions, I think the bigger hits get into his head and he starts keeping an eye on the rush and an eye on the routes instead of playing loose.

So while I cannot condone/defend what Warner has done the past two weeks, I think this is as bad as it gets and he will revert back to better form at some point although ATL next week is no gimme, that's for sure.

A. We were at a point in the game where all we had to do was take the snap and kneel down.
B. We would have NEVER been in the situation were it not for Warners poor performance.
C. How dare him start yelling at Step? How unprofessional is that? Especially after Warner single handedly did everything possible to lose this game.
D. How about the other STUPID decisions Warner made in this game. The most notable when he got flushed out to the right, tried to side step an oncoming cb only to flip a 1 yard pass to Q, and then get totally blasted by 2 more defenders. Thats not courageous. Thats not the way an experienced QB should act. That is plain stupid. THROW THE DAMN BALL AWAY, KURT.
E. Warner starts next week. It is very evident his dumb decision making is going to get himself physically knock out before too long anyway. That will take the onus off Green.

I think I'm going to throw up.

That was some serious Jake Plummer-ish play we saw today.

This team is incredibly disappointing.

Yeah he did, my point was he got benched for it.

Will Warner?

No.

Maybe he won't but I bet he is on a very short leash after today's game. Any more bonehead plays like he pulled today and #7 will begin throwing on the sideline.

Crazy to say after this game but I really believe we have improved. Just not enough to turn the ball over 4 times and 2 of them in the redzone. Not many teams are good enough to overcome that.

Kurt had great protection most of the game...save one single series when he got attacked and one play when they brought the heat while we were backed up on the goal line (which Kurt got away from and ran for 13 yards.)

But Kurt did NOT get beat up in this game. The OL played very well.

You are not understanding what I am saying. I am not saying Kurt was getting killed all day. I am saying that after that helmet to helmet hit which was a big shot on him and from that point forward, I just didn't think he was the same QB as earlier. I think he made questionable decisions and that resulted in some of his mistakes. I think that is the way he is. One big hit and he tightens up and starts worrying more about the rush than he does before he is hit.

If there is such an award, "The Worst Offensive Player of the Week", it would have been Kurt.

kurt was taking some big hits today. after that helment to helment hit, is when he started to throw interceptions. i wouldn't be surprise that he has some kind of concusion. because he wasn't the same after that hit. i am not going to defend warner performance. because warner knows he played a bad game. look for leinart to play againist the falcons sometime next week if warner doesnt get it together.

There'd have to be a serious meltdown next week for Leinart to be thrown in there this soon. It's Warner for now bad with the good. I hope he's still learning simething week to week. He needs to let things develop or have his outlets (RB, TE) ready if he's going to dump it. He's missed alot of open recievers though from what I've seen. BJ seemed to be open the entire game, but didn't get enough action IMO.
