How many guys will be under contract. May have a number of our own FAs to sign with this money.

This is why the "we can't afford him" argument is always garbage. Keep your good players and we aren't in the position that we are currently in.

At some point you will always have to pay the Piper. Sure you can spend now but at a cost later. Ask Jacksonville who is currently $12M over the cap next year with not much to show for it.

How can you say they can't manage that risk next offseason without pain? They can erase all of that by releasing Marcell Dareus ($10M savings) and Carlos Hyde ($4.75M savings). Boo hoo.

Unfortunately, 2019 is not a good year for free agents.

Here would be my idealistic, everything goes the way I say it does, looking at the Free Agency list in November (sigh), shopping list:

- Tyrell Williams, WR
- Jesse James, TE
- Ja'Waun James, OL
- [Too many linebackers to list] <-- I will put in fantasy land CJ Mosley
- Ronald Darby, CB

All I'm saying is they went from having the most cap space to the least in just 2 seasons. Basic math my friend.

Well, they were in the AFC Championship game last season, so I'd wager they got SOMETHING out of that money.

In 2020, the Jags only have $13M in cap space! The average cap space for the other NFL teams in 2020 is over $90M. Buying now and paying later isn't always the best choice.

Can you predict the future? If they release Macel Dareus this offseason, it clears $14.6M off their future cap. Releasing Carlos Hyde next offseason removes another $5M in 2020 cap obligations. In 2020 they can release Blake Bortles and add an additional $18M onto their cap.

ALso, I forgot that they give a trophy at the end of the season for cap space.

Add a OG and Wr in the draft and I like it!

Darby just tore his ACL. We already had a CB with bad knees and saw his production drop(HB). I don't think Darby is an option right now.
