After the NFC Championship, this is probably the 2nd greatest/most entertaining moment in AZ Cardinals history.

23-3 3rd Quarter lead. Won the turnover margin 0-6. The Bears didn’t score an offensive touchdown coming back from down 20.

And led to an incredibly hilarious night on the board.
Don't forget, Charles Barkley was a haltime guest on the NFL broadcast and they asked him what he thought...he said 20 points wouldn't be enough of a lead.

That was a Monday Night Football game, so the whole country got to watch that mess. One of the most frustrating Cardinal losses ever, as it eventually cost us a division title, which would have been our 3rd in a row. We moved up and down the field only to eventually fumble away numerous scoring chances. Pretty sure our only TD was a Terry Metcalf KO return.

Yes, a truly dreadful game. Why O’Donoghue was still on the roster in ‘84 remains hard for me to understand or believe. When he couldn’t bury the kick that would’ve won the NFC East that season I could not stop wondering how or why the Cards couldn’t have found someone better.
