Kudos to the defense saving the game. They didn't play that way for most of the game. SF kinda gift wrapped that game for us but happy to get the win! We hung tough so that was a good sign.

So as a Niners fan, just curious what Cards fans' takes were on that K'Waun Williams roughing the passer call when he was rushing in, jumped to get a hand on the ball (and maybe got a finger on it?) but then came down on Rosen without ill intent as momentum and the laws of physics dictate.

IMO, as bad if not worse than that form tackle sack Clay Matthews had on Alex Smith a few weeks ago.

It's a horrible new rule but if their gonna call it for the Aaron Rodgers, Dree Brees and Tom Brady's of the world...you gotta call it the same for every qb. Even the rookies.

It’s so ridiculous I was actually thinking the cards best offense today would be to throw 49ers at Rosen to get penalties.

I bet it would work too since the refs don’t seem to care why you hit the qb only that you hit em.

hate the call but it's the way the rule is written.

There was a play where Buddha got held and got a sack on Beathard at the ankles. When I saw the flag I thought they were going to call him for a low hit, luckily they called the hold

Was that their first outside run plays all game with that last TD drive? If it is, notice how it finally opened up the middle runs after those 2 outside runs? When you change it up, the defense has a harder time figuring out where the ball is going rather then hitting the middle every play.

The roughing the passer rules are freaking lame; you can't touch the QB in today's NFL.

That being said, this win feels like a loss so take consolation in that. We still suck.

And from my perspective, this loss feels like a win. This team's been snake-bitten with injuries before the season even started, but IMO they could use another top 5-10 talent on the roster. Either a true #1 WR or shutdown corner.

These Roughing rules are hard to watch though, regardless what teams they come against. I honestly don't know how much more I can take before I stick to just watching Niners games the rest of the year, and then how many more pathetic outings of theirs can I take?

I hate the roughing the passer rules but it's not about intent but actual results. One can't hit a qb in the head, simple as that.
