Well, it just confirmed what I have thought for the last three weeks. He is just good enough that they won't even consider eating his contract. Instead, build the defense into a nasty turnover generating unit. The D plays so hard, but they just don't churn many INTs or fumbles. We are one of the worst in the league at that
But we have a $18 mil safety

Doesn't that count?

Pissed me off to no end. The running backwards into sacks also. No excuse. Not the same as the bounce off McBride. And he marched them down the field on that drive also which was encouraging.
Rams were playing a soft D and giving up the outside pass lanes

Much easier to march down the field

The fans deserve better. This team is such trash and I’m sick of JG as an emotionless coach who doesn’t seem to hold anyone accountable.

I know he will get another year no matter what but he 100% should be fired if year 3 is yet again another losing/non playoff season.
Emotionless because the cameras don't show it? He got fired up like this many times on the sideline in Seattle. He was screaming on hollering at the defense.

Right. Overall he wasn’t bad. Just can’t get over the hump as a quarterback and is who he is at this point of his career. An overall average quarterback who does a few things here and there that make guys think he can be special while at the same time consistently breaking your heart with dumb plays.
This is mostly accurate. He can’t consistently make the big play when the game is on the line. It’s all about composure.

Draft a mid round QB like Jason Dart or someone else
you are aware mid round QB’s have like a 5% hit rate right? Like I said if the plan is some washed retread stopgap and a mid late round QB pick I’m of the opinion that we beef up the D, grab a real slot receiver, and run it back with Kyler.

He’s not perfect but I think he attracts the right type of player. We just need 3-4 better players including the QB.
Yeah. He’s definitely not a problem. Only problem becomes if he continues to preach this process message and we continue to not get results. Then you lose credibility in the locker room even if the direction is correct.

Will the ball from the "better" QB bounce off his chest instead of his helmet?
Pretty sure it will be thrown a little later and to the outside. Maybe understanding that the TE has to disengage from the LB before you throw a seed at him. Also probably can get him more than 1 TD in 16 games.

Ok, so pass rushers don't exist in Kyler hater fantasy land. Maybe the new QB can just levitate above the all out blitz and buy more time for his TE to separate at least 10 yards and stand there with open arms waiting for the pass.
