The Saints are not one of the best teams in the NFL....they have played 2 decent teams this year, Houston and Seattle..and yes they beat them both, so good for them.

The Saints do have a very easy schedule in the 2nd half, so will most likely get a bye and home field advantage. They will lose in the divisional round, at home, to a team like the vikings.

Funny. We all needed a laugh after the loss.

i thought Kyler played....... not all that good

the stats wont be terrible, but he missed reads, and when targeting the right player, missed too many

as a rookie, its going to happen.

feel like the Saints came out and decided Kyler was going to beat them rather than allowing the run
Kyler didn't show much progress from the Ravens and Seahawks games.

Murray needs to be a little more confident in the pocket. He seems really scared and worried on getting hit. There were a few plays if he just didnt duck and run, he had a few open lanes to run or open receivers.

The lack of a running game pretty much doomed the Cardinals on offense. Need the threat of the run to keep defenses honest. When Edmunds went out that was pretty much it.

My argument is that it would have went the same way regardless.
Perhaps, but as I said in another thread, when you’re in a game against a superior opponent late you want keep it muddy. For as long as possible. And give yourself a chance to steal it with a crazy play or a lucky bounce or something. Don’t give the superior team an advantage they don’t already have and help them get rolling. That’s what kk did. He didn’t give his team the best chance to win.

Game went pretty much as I thought. This was a game where I believed we were going to have to throw the ball 45 times.

We failed to be aggressive enough to go after their secondary. Definitely a game where I thought we need to pass the ball to set up the run.

I don’t like how people are so hesitant to give Peterson some slander when he was out there getting beat by Thomas, whether it was off or press.

I’m really trying not to be like Mitch, but man....

The Saints are very stout against the run. To say we needed to run the ball was playing right into their hands.

We should have play auctioned early and often to force them out of playing stop the run first mode.

Almost not worth it anyMore. Seems like there’s a silent protest by the refs to not overturn these challenges
I think the problem is that they need to see irrefutable evidence to overturn the call, but PI calls are pretty subjective to begin with.

For instance the one with Kirk today you could easily argue that Kirk initiated the contact and the defender was simply trying to make a play on the ball. The fact that it isn't a blatant PI means there is a zero percent chance of an overturn.

I’ve seen some blatant PIs not overturned. This is why the league shouldn’t review judgement calls. It’s a slippery slope. What happens when a no-call hold keeps a team from the super bowl? Are we just gonna open it up to everything?

Well...... That went as expected.

If Larry could have dragged his feet on that TD catch.....

Budda showing up, both good and really, really bad.

That Saints D is super fast.

Brees doing HOF level things and gassing our defense.

Hopefully DJ is back Thursday night because his absence was huge IMO.

I think there needs to be the threat of the run even if a team can't consistently run it. The Saints could pin their ears and come after Murray without fear of being burnt.

Offense hasn't been the same without him.

Think we should have got Murray involved in the running game early. Especially in the redzone.

I agree but I thought it would have served us better by coming out throwing the ball to loosen things up.

We don't disagree. Only saying the Cardinals needed the threat of the run which they didn't have today especially after Edmunds went out.
