Kyler will likely end his career as the second best QB in franchise history (statistically). That’s really good. If you want my hottest Kyler take it’s that Kyler hasn’t underachieved as a QB, he actually is overachieving based on his physical size.
I've said all along after this big contract is over he'll retire. Ride off in the sunset with his Millions.

To all those responding to my comment about Rylands missed Fg with” but they missed one too, so it evens out.
Uh, no it doesn’t. They won. Their miss didn’t cost them the game.
Rylands miss was one of many reasons we lost. To say it didn’t matter because they missed one is absurd.

Having thought about today’s loss further, this one’s on the coaches and the ultra conservative play calls in the shadow of the end zone:
1) End of 1st half they opted to not clock the ball and try a quick throw to the end zone and instead kicked a short FG
2) Late in the 4th kicking another short FG on 4th down—with the ball at the 4-yard line.

They weren’t playing to win, they were playing NOT to lose.
Exactly!

Don't know how this is not the topic of how we lost.

We were playing for FGs.............

You ain't ever beating good teams with this mentality. JG better start realizing this or he won't be a HC for long.

Strangest cope I have seen.

Dude is a kicker and missing vital kicks.

What on earth?

And what if Ryland misses and theirs is good lol can do these all day haha so like you said....it evened out
Okay. So if their kicker missed 3 fg’s and with 2 seconds left our kicker missed a fg that would have won the game…does it even out?

Like I said the 'what itfs" are pointless, that's like saying " what if we scored more points then we would've won" lol
And by the way didn't you just start a thread saying to let's take a break and that "looking back gets us nothing" and look forward to the next game? Lol

Got them to 4th and 7. Would have loved to seen an all out blitz on that play. Double A gap blitz and someone off the edge too. Sigh.. so close to winning this one...
Yep. One thing about Arians and Bowles that I loved is that when the game was on the line they brought the house. We tried to overload one side but they blocked it well enough. Bring one more than they can block. If they get the TD, oh well, tip the hat. We would've had a lot more time for the last drive.

Let me ask you this. If Rylands kick is good, what is the outcome of this game?
If we score just one more touchdown in the red zone instead of the 47 field goals we had today what is the outcome of the game. We lost this game because of penalties, red zone inefficiency, and playing not to lose on offense.

They would have been winning 20-19 when we kicked our fg to make it 22-20. They would have only needed a fg to win. The way they moved the ball on their last drive they would have only needed a fg to win.., if he makes it.
If he missed I don’t think Viking fans would be saying it’s okay because the Cardinals missed one.
A missed fg whether it’s in the 1st quarter or the last seconds of the game matters. It’s just one is more magnified.

Correct. The looking forward post was after looking back and analyzing the loss. lol!

I do. Driving for a fg is not impossible. Driving for a TD is difficult.

OK but the point is they would have to drive further if you go and don't get it. A FG won't beat you only a TD. They only had to go 70 yards instead of say 96 if we go and don't get it.

I just got my power back so I haven't had time to look but I think the expected win % or whatever it's called is about 25% higher if we go for it than if we kick the FG. A friend of mine is a Vikings fan, she watched the first half got home, saw the score and then watched the 2nd half and first thing she messaged me was why the hell did you kick the FG that was not very good math.

Even if we throw the ball on 4th down and it's incomplete, we still use a few seconds and they get the ball at the 4, not the 30
