I would be good with that too but the idea of Boldin, Fitz, Steve, and Tony G makes me delirious.

There is only so many balls to go around, there is a such thing as to much of a good thing, which means spending way to much money on 4 pieces that wont even be getting the ball that often, a ball that all 4 of these players who all have egos will want in their hands.

Joe - Whats the penalty of going over the cap this year especially? Theres really no penalty and theres a un-capped year next right?

It is virtually impossible to go over the cap. First any contract that will put a team over the cap will not be eccepted by the league offices. Second if a team goes over the cap becuase of a trade they have 7 days to comply with the cap and they cant sign or do anything else during those 7 days until its fixed. Third if it isnt fixed the team will get both, heavy fines and loss of not one but multiple draft picks, for every day they do not comply with the cap.

I think Tony wants to play for a winner and would be the ultimate saftey valve for Warner and the ideal blocker for the type of running we want to do. His leadership would also be huge plus. Plus I think Ben Patrick could be awesome with limited reps behind this guy and Becht and can grow into his physical tools in a year or 2.

But I see what your saying. Then at that point I would trade Q to Eagles for the equitable 1st and a 3rd draft pick and then send our own pick in the 3rd to KC.

Still a monster offense but now we can add another potential 2 defensive starters AND Knowshon Moreno at #21. And an Oline while solving our TE issue with Tony G. Anyone not interested in that plan?

I guess I just don't get the salary cap then. Doesn't Washington go over the salary cap EVERY YEAR when they go on one of these spending sprees? If not then whoever the guy who handles the cap in Washington the Cardinals should walk up to and hand a blank check.

Washington has never gone over the cap. Washington never spends a lot its because they give out hugely backloaded contracts, it only sounds large becuase of the large bonus money they hand out, but the players never actually realize their whole contract because they are cut or given large bonus money again to restructure their deal. There is a loop hole to the cap and thats bonus money. Bonus money the cap guy in Washington is able to use more so then any other team especially the Cards because Washington made 150 mill more in revenue then the Cards in 2007 and 140 more in 2008. Heck Washington makes 50 more mill in revenue then the #2 team on the list, thats how well run of a financial institution the Redskins are.

no to trading Q for Gonzalez. Q demands a double team and so does Fitz. No D coordinator can come up with a plan for stopping both.

With Gonzo and Fitz...they can afford to take some more risks with Gonzo.

I wish the Cards had gotten Kelly last year from Cinci - freaking CArson Palmer messed that whole thing up.

No on almost all trades for Q.

I dont get why many of you want Gonzales. 33 years old man!

I guess its the 96 catches 1000+ yards and 10 TDs and the fact that he is playing as well as he ever has last season(3rd most receptions, 2nd most TDs and 4th best yards in his career). He's easily got 2 or 3 strong seasons left in him.
