Interesting comparison from a comment on PFT, if true

Last 7 years of Arian Peterson (30 yr old) and Chris Johnson (29 yrs old) just for fun:

AP: 1816 attempts for 8849 yards, 4.87 yards per carry. 74 TDs. 189 catches for 1447 yards, 7.6 yards per catch, 4 receiving TDs. 27 fumbles, 90 games played, missed games in 4 of last 7 seasons. 10,296 total yards, 78 TDs.

CJ: 1897 attempts for 8628 yards, 4.54 yards per carry. 51 TDs. 296 catches for 2154 yards, 7.3 yards per catch, 9 receiving TDs. 19 fumbles. 111 games played, missed one game last 7 seasons. 10,782 total yards, 60 TDs.

CJ more durable, fumbles far less per touch, is more effective in the passing game which Arians likes and uses. AP a slightly better yards per touch…as in 5% more per touch. Maybe a better nose for the end zone, though CJ was not used as the red zone back last year.

And - they BOTH wear #28.

Birdman21 promised us a solid RB who would wear #28 for the Cards this year...

Love the signing. Gives us depth at the running position. Lets Ellington do his thing without the burden of carrying the load,

I hate to play devil's advocate here - and I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but am I the only one worried about possible chemistry issues here...?

I'm going to add something I didn't do so in my original post - let's not forget that CJ was involved in a drive-by shooting that left the driver DEAD. As-in, shot in the head DEAD homicide. CJ refused to cooperate with authorities in that case, but no charges were filed. Isn't this some indication of his character and/or the type of entourage he hangs out with?

Yes, I'm all for adding depth in the sake of helping our team win, but what's really going on here? For comparison purposes we have our fair share of idiots - Dwyer, Massie, DWaste, but none of them come close to this type of off-field behavior. Has anyone heard CJ speak? The guy makes Shawn Marion sound like a well-versed poet.

Once again, not hating the move by any means... I trust in BASK but the character-side of CJ really gives me concerns.

Does anyone who saw Ellington's catch and run believe that CJ would have been chased down from behind and tackled down at the 5 yard line ?? Think about it , that play would have changed Palmers stats from 4 of 4 for 77 yds. to 3 0f 3 for 78 yds. and a TD .

Appreciate your honesty and concerns. I think the key is that we have an established veteran team with leaders on both sides of the ball, plus a strong owner, coach & GM. Additionally, its only a one year contract with incentives.
Bottom line from my viewpoint, if CJ is not a team player, he will be gone ASAP.
