When we'd go on the road trip to St. Louis, we would sit with a group that included Neils mother. Very nice lady by the way.
Any way, every time Rackers would kick a FG or extra point , we'd yell "Thank You Mrs. Rackers!"

Personally , I think this is a wash. No better, no worse. A kicker is only as good as his last kick. Make it and he's a hero, miss it and he's a bum.

Good Luck Neil.

I agree with all of this. Kickers are sometimes given a raw deal in the league. Ask Gary Anderson about the "almost perfect" season in 1998. The only kick he missed that entire season was the one that could have sent them to the Superbowl. He will always be remembered for that.

I think it's a wash for a couple of different reasons. What we lose in power and creativeness on kickoffs with Rackers we gain accuracy. Feely has a higher career % than Rackers and Feely played mostly outdoors. And don't confuse him for being a slouch. Feely can make tackles too almost like Rackers.

Neil Rackers set to visit Jets

The Jets and Cardinals could unofficially trade kickers.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Neil Rackers is set to fly to New York Monday for a Tuesday visit. Former Jets kicker Jay Feely signed with Arizona Friday.

In New York, Rackers would have to battle Nick Folk for the starting job. He reportedly had a contract offer from the Cardinals, but wasn't happy with it.
