Freakin awesome te was our weakest position in my opinion. He should fill a big hole. This team has a ton of potential can't wait.

Good signing but probably not much of a difference maker.

I hope the Cards willingness to pay more than the other teams isn't an indictment on the progress on Niklas and Fells.

On Fells:No. On Niklas:Yes.

I still say Troy gets cut.

Two things:
1. No way Niklas gets cut.
2. Gresham is a good blocker, and he should, along with an improved OL, make a big difference in the run game.

A very exciting signing if healthy. It's amazing how well a FO can work if you have guys like Kim and our great

I do not think this will be the answer to the Cardinals need for a pass catching tight end. And Gresham is a pass catching tight end, so much for the belief Arians doesn't want/need a pass catching tight end.

Yet, who cares if this guy is going to bring anything to the team ? I don't. These 1 year prove it deals don't do anything to jeopardize the team's future, and we know Arians will start the best players out on the field.

So, if Gresham is a dud, it will be nothing loss and nothing gained.

Of course it would be great if he comes in and brings something to the team, but he is a step back from Carlson in my opinion.

And PLEASE, no one talk about how this is an upgrade from Housler, because anything is an upgrade from Housler, so that is not saying much.

Agree with all this. Gresham imo is overrated by many here & has never been anymore than another Joe.

I still say this team lives & days by its WRs & the TE position will never be a huge differance maker.

Other than the NE TEs who are considered the great ones of this era that have been on a Super Bowl team or even won one? Hmmmm

So he was overrated by more than some here if he made 2 Pro bowls....

The pro bowl means absolutely nothing these days!!! Almost 20 guys from each side bow out each year so they aren't really the best players. Guys like Gresham are a dime a dozen

Two time Pro Bowler. 1 of 3 T-ends over past 5 years with 40+ receptions, 400+ yards and 4+ tds. Caught 52 with Carson in rookie year and 4 tds.

The other two: Gates, Olsen..... no Carlson.

1 year deal should keep him focused and motivated. We may get the best out of gresham that anyone has so far.

Avatar bet? I say no chance in hell. If troy stays healthy this season, he will prove his worth.

Deal.

I agree, I don't get all the negativity for Gresham. One of only 3 TEs to reach those stats 5 years running yet if you said Gates or Olsen signed with the Cardinals everyone would be gushing about how great of a TE they are. I think this has the potential to be the best signing all of 2015. Yes there may be questions about his health but if he is fine then I think he is going to be one of Palmer's favorite 3rd down targets. I project 45-50 catches and 5-7 TDs. for 500+ yards.

Terrible drops but at least he gets in the position to catch them which is more we can say about the stiffs we have. Not sure how anyone can knock this for a 1 year deal.

Carlson was the worst TE in the NFL last year by DVOA and was riding pine at the end of the year beind a fairly motley crew. If Gresham is a step back from HIM, that ain't good.

We still have the worst TE in the division, and I don't think we closed the gap much. Anyone who thinks that Gresham has been one of the top 3 TEs in the NFL the last five years doesn't watch much football.

''He’s graded out below average in 4 of 5 seasons in the NFL, including each of the last 3. He was a little better in 2014, but he ranked 61st out of 62 eligible tight ends in 2012 and 64th out of 64 eligible in 2013.''

those grades are pretty weird ,just curious how they came from

Well, I'm sure you, unlike us, watched every Cincy game. Why... is a mystery, but I'm sure you did.

The numbers show top 3 'consistency' and, for one, I'll welcome it.

Low risk move. If He flops, it doesn't hurt anyone on the roster and won't kill the payroll. Not sure why anyone is whining about this move.

Hell, he has to make the roster too. Not upset about it at all
