The key to signing Avery is his health. If hes 100% its a no brainer, especially with the guy who got him drafted in the 2nd round under center.

Just wondering: Why isn't he still a Ram?
Because he's fragile and is a poor route runner.
If you check Donnie's career numbers you'll see that he actually hasn't missed many games....but what you dont see is how many times he started, got hit and limped off the field only to either not return,or return as a non-factor.

I was glad they finally let go of him. A 2nd rd bust IMO.

I argue that you might be wrong mojo, I thought Avery lacked natural pass catching ability and it did not matter if he ran a route right or wrong. It just seemed that way to me when I saw him play.

Ehh, i dont know...i saw him rounding off an awful lot...struggling to get seperation. Then again i'm a tough critic after watching Bruce turn on a dime for so many years ;)

TBH its his fragility and unreliability that has really drawn my criticism over the last few years. The dude simply cant take an NFL hit,get back up,shake it off and continue to be effective. What good is a speedy reciever when he forces you to adjust your gameday roster from week to week?

I'd rather have an underwhelming WR like Brandon Gibson that shows up for every play, over a cream puff with superior talent like Avery that cant be relied upon...but thats just me.

I agree if you're looking at a starting WR. But as a #4 WR that fills a need role and doesn't have to relied upon to be the guy, Avery is a very good fit for the Cards.
