I don't like Reggie as an every down RB. Hope this is just a rumor.

He did very well for miami as an every down back esp since they had no threat of a passing attack. I think if we can sign him Beanie and RWill get cut and we go with Bush, Powell, and Smith

Played pretty well against Seattle and SF last year. Some surprisingly tough running against both teams.

Another injury-prone RB yay!

Injuries the last 2 years since he's been "the man" have pretty much been zilch!!! Throughout his career hes really only had 1 significant injury. The guy is at this stage is ore reliable than any RB on the Cards roster. He would be a great acquisition by the Big Red IMO.

He's also showed that he can run between the tackles in the NFL like he did at SC, but he can he do the same in Cardinal land behind our porous Oine? Hmmm

I don't mean to sound cynical, but how much of this and other high profile rumors are merely a PR move to make it look to fans as if the team was serious about pursuing big name talent?

Rumors before FA fly around like skittles at a kids Bday party Jeff :D

Seriously though, does it really matter given the QBs that have been rumored to be in AZ next year? Sounds like 5-11 to me if not worse. :bang:

Not this year. So far Bidwill had "talked" the "talk" I think thy trend will continue in FA. I expect the Cards to be a bigger player this year than what we are used to.

I'm sure it happens occasionally but I'd bet that more often than not, if the report is bogus, it came from an agent rather than a team. You can't start a bidding war without bidders and if you don't have real bidders, make-believe bidders are the next best thing. Especially since ESPN is more than willing to take one of these rumors and present it to the public as breaking news and before you know it, it has a life of it's own.

It was clear last year that the Dolphins gave up on Bush. He had several games where he sat the second half and Thomas got most of the red zone touches.

I think this is nonsense and agents are putting out ALL these reports because the Cards won't deny. That being said, how can you be sure that it was the Dolphins giving up on Bush and not needing to see what they had in Thomas before making a decision on Bush/2013 free agency/the draft?

Because Philbin said so. He got tired of Bush's fumbling and went with Thomas. It was a little baffling the way he treated him

I don't see how that article makes your point. There was a reference to Philbin not liking fumbles (duh) but other than that his only comments on Bush were flattering. Also, in that article, he specifically denied that Bush was in his doghouse. I think it's very possible they wanted to see what they had in advance of having to make a decision on Reggie.
