No they didn't, they called them dead ball penalties after the sack which is why it was 2nd an 10 and not 1st and 5. Just a terrible spot on the sack.

Sometimes you just don't have that luxury. If the guy is less than full speed but can play, you have to keep him active in case your backup goes down during the game. A slightly hampered Beanie might not be the equal of Ryan Williams but it's still better than trying to use LSH on all running plays.
