Yup that was him. He apologizes to the Browns and his teamates so its all good. He learns his mistake and I doubt he will do the same mistake here.

Yes, but he really can't be blamed for that.

He honestly thought the game was over.

Well I blame him for the "HEY Look at me" BS that tossing the helmet was all about. I hope he has learned from it and is a team guy, I'm excited for him to start here.

He freakin chucked it, I guess he didn't go to the Kyle Turly school of helmet tossing. Do they have financial aid for that school?

Great signing. No terms but I bet we got him for half the price of Barrett and the same amount of talent.

Why is it a "hey look at me BS". He was happy to win(at least he thought) a very close hard fought game. I just dont see how that shows a "ME" attitude.

Hey, at least the Sporting News gave Macklin some props. In last week's Free Agent Preview feature, he was one of seven CBs spotlighted by the War Room, as follows:

>>ON THE RISE--David Macklin, Colts. He lacks ideal size and speed, but Macklin is developing into a rock-solid cover 2 corner.<<

Of course, they didn't rate Macklin among the top CBs available in free agency this offseason (e.g., McAlister, Vincent, Taylor, Winfield, Springs), but he apparently won't cost as much either. You get what you pay for, right?

Solid signing by Green and Graves. We are slowly but steady going to the goal. What a differencea coach makes that has expierance. I know he is not finished by far and I can't wait for training camp!

Macklin is only 25 years old and was a starter for the Colts. Denny is not looking for super star free agents but solid players that can start and be the foundation for the next 5 years.

The Pats and other teams like the Bengals have taken this approach and have had decent results.

Now if we can sign Rudd we've already improved our D without even using the draft.

I haven't seen or heard anything other than what Jurecki said and the press release that the Cards sent out

I'm stoked about this offseason, I'm really starting to see something diffrent. I'm geniunely surprised by this offseason. From the Cards own Free agent extensions, Hiring of Green, the Free agents acquired and the attitude and candid remarks Green has said about the players. I really see a change coming from this organization.

I think he will be solid. We really needed two corners and we got one. We still need another stud CB.
Particularly if Wilson doesn't make the changeover.

Macklin is considered short, solid but not real fast and (according to Scouts, Inc.) a bit vulnerable both in turn & go and red zone situations against faster or taller receivers.

This suggests that our opposite corner had better be (a) faster and (b) taller in order to avoid many mismatches.

I believe Starks is on the shortish side. If the Cards have decided not to try Wilson over there, they'll have to look to free agency to land a second corner. (Hint - Bobby Taylor's got nice size).

A Sinister Attempt to Stir Up Trade Talk:

1. If the Cards are beginning to feel cap pressure and decide to sign Taylor or another FA corner, you could see them cutting or trading Starks to free up dollars.

2. The Cards already have 4 pretty good OLB's in Thompson, Fisher, Woods and Hayes. Even just the attempt to sign Rudd suggests a trade is in the offing involving one of our LB's.
