I tried to talk the wife into it since it's semi close to the Buffalo area and she has family outside there in Lockport but she wasn't into it. Wants to fly into NYC and stay for a bit then go to Buffalo for a game vs the Bills since she grew up in the area.

Waiting on a Buffalo game now lol

If I end up going to my fiancee's friends wedding in Phili the night before, i might convince her to wake up really early, drive to Pittsburgh, go to the game and fly home from there. Bing bang boom.

We're thinking about going. Made it to Green Bay a few years ago, that trip was EPIC!

I was going to take my Dad, but he needs handicapped seats any more, and they all seem waaaay too expensive, sadly. I'll still go, but I'm not sure where I'll sit.

I am considering it if I have the funds. Pittsburgh is a fun city to visit, especially for us drinkers.

Mike,

Where are you staying and sitting? Trying to talk an old Air Force buddy to go with me. He lives in Ohio and is a Steelers fan. Pick him up on the way there.

John.

John we're staying here.

It's near the stadium, we are flying spirit airlines to Latrobe Airport out of Chicago for $103 round trip.

Stout,

I will be there with my wife and a couple of Steeler fan friends of mine you met last time we were there. No tickets yet, but that's the least of my worries.

Thats a great choice of location, you will not be disappointed.

If I end up going I will likely either stay on the South Side for the bars or up at my friend's house in Sharon.

Would love to see this game but we just went a long family trip and another scheduled right around that time.

I think I'm going from Boston to there. I hope the fans are classy and that Pittsburgh is a good city.

My first game was the 49ers a couple of years back at Candlestick, the fans were so brutal and classless.

Pittsburgh is a great city to visit, especially if you like food and drinks. Some of the best bars and restaurants in the country are there. I wouldn't say Steelers fans are classy - but they aren't violent and classless like Eagles fans. They will talk a lot trash but at the end of the day are good people.

Here is where we are staying for the game. They have an outdoor garden and picnic area, so anybody that up for a little tailgate before the game. That is where we will be, as long as I can smoke cigars and drink some scotch there I'll be happy. I'll get some more details on the Friday night before the game. Hope to see some of you there.

Dammit, I'm going to have to try and get to that game. I am going the following week to the Ravens game so I originally nixed it. It's only about a 2.5 -3 hour drive. I may need to go.

We had a blast with Steeler fans out in Arizona a few years back.

That was surprising to me because here in Columbus there are a ton of Steeler fans and they are mostly complete asses, just like most OSU fans.

John are you flying or driving. If your flying I already have a rental car I can pick you up from the airport. Try and get a hotel in the downtown area, that's where we are staying.

Probably driving since I will pick up my friend in Ohio and go from there. Probably visit my niece in Columbus on the way. My other friend lives in NY but his wife is a big Steelers friend so she is going to find out about tickets. If I end up flying I will let you know.

It's always a pain going from downtown to the airport and vice versa, but with the Fort Pitt Tunnel construction, it's become pure hell, especially on the weekends. They've basically been closing the main artery there on the weekends. May be different by game time.
