That's according to Rod Graves. Now where I have heard that line before from Rod? Oh yeah it was last year, and the year before, and the year before.

Nothing against Mr. Graves, but has anyone ever seen him agressive at anything?

He agressively opened the door for LD to leave. I'm having flashbacks to the Mac/Graves days where we signed a bunch of stiffs and considered that agressive. Instead of saying your going to be aggressive let's bring in some football players(and keep the one we have) that can have an impact on the team. I don't want to hear about how we're looking for depth when we clearly need to upgrade our starters. Now there's another hole to fill.

You mean, that he is going to be so aggressive, that they let LD walk for nothing?

Or maybe they are going to let them walk, and aggressively overpay for a replacement that will be no better than what we already had in the first place.

Aggressively going after backups (despite the need for at least 3 starters).

That sounds like a regular line that he says every year ... Denny used to spew out the same thing ... lets see if things will actually happen this year ..

Thank you for articulating my thought, better than I could.

Give the Wiz at least one signing period before you put him in the electric chair. You folks are harsh. The guy just started and put together a solid staff and his first move to evaluate talent is lambasted, Whew!

Totally agree .. lets see what he does over the course of FA before we all start jumping all over him ... some decisions are difficult to make and may not look good at first ... lets see how this plays out ..

Don't we see this exact post every offseason too?

Who else is tired of getting told to wait and see before we bitch?

I think I can see the future, and it looks like 6-10

Being Aggressive

This has nothing to do with The Wiz. It has to do with our FA signings or lack there of.

Before you lump all of us together, you should consider one thing. The problem that most of us have is not the fact that Davis was let go, it was that we let him go for no compensation.

If Whiz decided that Big was not a fit for our team, fine. But I can guarantee that Big will be playing somewhere next year, and he will sign a pretty good sized contract. Other teams would have been willing to trade for the best offensive lineman available.

Anybody remember what Thomas Jones contract status was when we traded him to Tampa for a 12th round draft pick?

Well, that certainly sounds like a good thing...

Letting Davis go just blows. Just when it looked like they were coming together and there might have been a chance at some continuity.

I have heard that way to many times. I believe what I see when it comes to FA and the Cards. Last year we were all screaming for OL and ended up with little and some CAP money in the bank.

The bottom line is, the mushheaded, mushmouthed Graves proves (again) that he's a dirty liar, on top of his other sterling features. And that, for whatever reason, Whiz is available to serve as the new stooge mouthpiece.

I never thought I'd say it, but what that crew needs/deserves is a steady diet of Bickley columns. 'Bickley speaks truth to power'--God, that it would come to this.
