Didn't see this coming at all. There will be better QBs on waivers in 2 days

If BASK think so they can pick one up and waive Barkley and then they don't have to give up the 7th Round pick. No risk here.

Agree now that I know what the risk was getting Barkley. Nothing if he doesn't pan out. It is a good move for both Cards and Eagles

Nuff' said!

He was beaten out by Tebow largely because Chip Kelly is the head coach. LaCanfora said this a month ago, most NFL people think that Barkley has to badly outplay Tebow to win the spot because the whole reason Kelly picked up Tebow is gadget plays and 2 point conversions.

Kelly is apparently planning on going for 2 quite regularly with the new longer XP, and he wanted a QB that he felt enhanced his ability to convert going for 2, and thinks that QB is Tebow.

I'd rather roll with Thomas.

Barkley can throw the ball 10 yards with a wobble on his best day.

I kid. Well...yeah, I kid.

Yeah. Let's be honest here.. he got "beaten out" by a side show. FFS they've had Barkley playing the read option. Of course he's going to look like trash.

I don't know what to expect from him, but its just a 3rd QB role with hopes of being a #2 in a year or so there is really nothing to see here ATM.

Logan Thomas is, and has been, garbage. Don't let a good half against car salesmen and insurance agents cloud your judgment.

I'll take Barkley over LT in any QB scenario. I think BA knows, and he endorsed the move, way more than any of us when it comes to whether Barkley is "his type" of QB.

I watched Barkley vs. the Jets yesterday, and he didn't look good. Threw a pick in his first series.

That said, getting him on the west coast with Palmer and Cards' coaching staff, can't be a bad move for him.

The good news is that SHE is coming too.

You must be registered for see images

The REALLY good news, for all of you hound dogs, is she is a good friend of my niece (who has known Matt since Kindergarden) and all of her friends look like that. If they start coming to games to cheer Matt on.... y'all are going to be very, VERY happy.

Well if our 3rd QB sees the field the season is over anyway.
You're probably right but I'd like our chances much better with Barkley than Logan Thomas, Phil Sims, or Ryan Lindley.

I like the move. Why not? Let's take a look at him. I'll take Barkley over Logan any day.

I might be the only one that really likes this move. I would rather have Barkley in the game than LT or Sims. I would still like to see us put LT on the practice squad though.

Really? We are going to freak about a conditional 7th rounder? My guess is we have some trades of our own bringing a pick or picks back to us as well. Calm yourselves.

I think you're really missing the point. I'm sure the Cards could've made a smarter trade, for a better QB who has legit starting experience & long term potential...Mike Glennon!!!

I'm sorry but BASK drop the ball on this one big time:bang::doi:

Barkley will be the Cardinals' third-string quarterback. Carson Palmer is the starter, and Drew Stanton is his backup. Rookie Phillip Sims tweeted that he had been cut Friday, and Logan Thomas, a fourth round pick in 2014, was also cut, a source told ESPN.

This article says LT also cut.
