The Suns are getting serious cap relief from this deal. Wallace's career is over. Pavlovic will be bought out.

Buyouts still count against the cap. They are getting financial relief...not cap relief.

Forget about OKC giving the Suns their pick back. That is pure fantasy. That pick is going to be top 5 in a quality draft and everybody knows it!

I was hoping Shaq would stay and the Suns traded big mouth no game Amare for Jefferson and a pick. Oh well, as a Suns fan I should have not expected that.

I know. The fact that our front office isn't able to trade a player who has "no game" in your opinion for one of the best young players in the league and the 5th pick in the draft is a disgrace. Are you kidding me man? Please tell me why this team should have held on to Shaq and what you feel like they could have gotten for him.

I am and always will be here...

Good. I honestly am glad to hear that.

I have got to take a break from this board or I will vomit on my computer. With the exception of the few realists that are on here, the rest of you people have lost all touch of reality and logic.

What a horrible trade.

But, for some reason, I'm actually saddened by the eventual loss of Andrew.

you guys still care about the Suns? All I did was laugh when I heard this.

Like I said a couple years ago when we traded Kurt Thomas, a first round pick and our soon to be 2010 lotto pick, wake me when $arvKerr no longer have anything to do with this team. Never have I seen a relative crown jewel (relative only because it's never won a title) of a league fallen to laughingstock so fast.

you'll see in the Finals next year.

You all just KNOW that the Suns will go down as the only team Shaq was on that DIDN'T get to the Finals. It seems to be our sports lot in life.

You really think this puts them over a healthy Boston and Orlando?

I think LeBron single-handedly took two games from Orlando and almost took two others. Plus, I don't think they're done yet. You put ANYONE with a pulse on his team (and Shaq with a chance to win another title and trump Timmy and Kobe... while BEATING one of them will be a big pulse, if only for a year). And I think Boston's gonna be done unless they spend some serious cash to upgrade that bench.

From the end of Coro's article:

Teams recently have inquired about every returning Suns starter, including Golden State's ongoing interest in Amaré Stoudemire (with a package involving Andris Biedrins being revisited). Washington looked at Stoudemire, too, but backed away when Caron Butler and Richardson were added to the mix. Those talks started with Antawn Jamison and the Wizards' fifth pick being offered for Stoudemire. The Wizards traded that fifth pick Wednesday.
Please! Please! Let us move Amare for Biedrins and Randolph.

Nash, Dragic
Richardson, Barbosa
Hill, Dudley, #14
Randolph, Amundson
Biedrins, Lopez

Two shot blockers and rebounders at PF and C

Andrew, please don't become a cavs fan. I don't want to see you on the cavs message boards I post on. I'm begging you.

Worthy, but it doesn't matter as long as Nash is running this team.

LOL! Kerr asked for Jamison, Butler, and the #5 for Stoudemire and Richardson? That's hilarious. Can't blame him for trying, I guess.

How is this rebuilding if the Suns have not gotten a single useful asset or cap space in return? This trade does not help this team in any way, not next season, not in the long run. And yet, given past history, it's completely expectable. When was the last time Steve Kerr made a good move as a GM? Wait, when was the first time? How about Sarver?

Well, I am waiting to weigh in on this trade AFTER the off season is over. If we buy out Wallace, that gives us a lot of room to do something else. IF, BIG IF, we do make the team better in the wake of Shaq leaving, then it IS a good trade. If not, then it was a bad trade! Time will tell.

I am kind of intrigued to see if Wallace plays for us. We needed a rebounder/defender who doesn't need the ball to score. Just wondering if he has ANYTHING left in the tank.

No it doesn't.

The only way they can get anything out of Wallace is if the "magical training staff" puts him back on his diet of steroids with every meal.
