The one thing Suns fans can take away from this great series is that Celtics played a LOT of small ball to make up for the deficits they got stuck with, and kept at it for some of their huge leads. Their 3 ball was hot nearly the entire series, and their point guard rotation gave many different looks to the game.
The one and only reason that small ball was successful in the finals was that they played amazing defense at the same time. they were rough, they were aggressive, and they were relentless - and it ultimately overwhelmed the Lakers. On offense, their floor spacing was shocking at times, and I simply lost count of the amount of WIDE open 3s that House, Posey, Allen and Pierce made.
The Celtics also endured multiple injuries during games and over the course of the series. Their bench stepped it up without hesitation, no signs of rust, and with easy transitions. The Celtics are surprisingly deep and fluid for essentially being a "first year team."
Props to the Celtics for proving small ball can work in the finals, and enforcing the fact that defense and depth win Championships.

No kidding! You would actually think their team won something. The hatred for the Lakers is so strong they have to live vicariously through an east coast team to have any clue what its like to be winner.
We will be back next year. Have no doubts.

he's had the rush avatar for a while now.
They not only got a dagger in the heart but they were embarrassed. So any praise of this team on this site is going to be viewed as a personal attack on Lakers fans.
Laker fans are sort of weird. They think it's forgone conclusion that people should root for them if their team is not in it. I know several Laker fans (including a ton of my family in Cali). It's like it's ordained they should be rooted for. They really don't get it when fans of other teams hope they go down in flames like they did.
I like many of the Laker fans on the site but bottom line this is an AZ sports fan site. If they don't like it then they can walk or at the very least take a break from the site. Suns fans have every right to root against the Lakers.

1. Celtics beat the Lakers by 38 points ( most points in Finals history- clinching game)
2. Celtics have a stranglehold in Finals meetings (9-2)
3. Celtics have the record for the greatest comeback in finals history ( post 24 second clock)
4. Kobe proved he can't come up big in the big stage.
5. Kobe proved he isn't "Jordanesque"
6. Kobe wasn't the best player on the floor
7. Ray Allen got the last laugh.
8. Kobe still can't win without the Big Aristotle
9. Shaq is kicking off his Finals after party...all drinks on him!

As i have said many times, it is pure jealousy. I cannot stand the Mavs or the Kings. But if they made it to the finals i would root for them over any east team as i would want the west to win. It's ok though that you live vicariously through any team to play us. It's understandable seeing all the heartache the Suns fans have endured over the years.

Well that is sad for you IMO. One thing you wont see from the Laker nation is everyone blaming the league, the refs, the weather, the planes, etc for the loss. We made it to the 6th game in the FINALS in a year we were not even predicted to make the playoffs. We will take it on the chin and come back stronger than ever next year.
