I'd counter that the jury is out on all of these college players too. I think there are greater needs at positions of way more importance right now.

I agree with everything else you are saying, but I doubt a rookie TE makes any impact behind Ertz AND McBride.
So I draft Kraft in round 2 or 3. I have him as insurance for Ertz and his injury and I give him the year to develop so he can make an impact next year when we need to move on from Ertz saving 8 mil. Perfect scenario.

If we could come away with Will Anderson, John Michael-Schmitz, and Tucker Kraft with our first three picks...that would be pretty awesome. Add in what we might be able to add with another 2nd from Hopkins and a third round compensatory pick. Easily could end with 5 picks in the first two days.

My only concern with moving Hopkins is that there isn't a great 2nd round type replacement for him this year.

I'd probably take a DL instead of a TE.

Maybe it's because I like McBride more than you do?

What do you think of Keanu Benton around the third round area?

With the comp pick, we have 5 in the first 105.

So conceivably, 5 of the top 100 prospects.

Going TE in the 2nd round two years in a row would be peak Keim kind of stuff. The player may be good/worth it, but we have too many holes to fill in a draft deep in those positions.

Disagree. If you are going to run multi TE sets, want to take advantage of a rarely talented draft class, and save 8 mil in 2024…draft a TE. The issue last year wasn’t McBride the draft pick, it was the fit for a system that doesn’t use them.

Shouldn’t be worried about finding his replacement this year, tbh. This year is a wash regardless.

He had better numbers than Jordan Davis so it kinda depends on how you view him and how he translated to the NFL (one year, I know).
Btw Davis wasn't selected top 10
What i say u shouldn't draft with a top 3 a guy with those numbers, not worth the risk
Top 5 pick must have
Elite talent
Production
High Character guy
No significant Injury

Kiper and McShay say this is a bad draft for talent

Outside of Hutchinson - who the heck are the rest of those dudes? Are they still in college?
Those are some of the pass rushers available plus Aidan Hutchinson for reference.

Felix Anudike-Uzomah would probably be my prime target in round two if the Cardinals don't get Anderson. Will McDonald is another guy I'd like there

That many going first/high second? If Harry is right, he said mcbride would be drafted in just about same slot this year.
TE is tough because it’s value is based upon the scheme. This draft is a little more interesting as the number of two way TE talent is abnormal. More inline guys who have receiving upside. I would argue that McBride would probably go 3rd round this draft as I think there will be a run on WRs late first and early to mid second.

I think Mayer, Washington, Musgrove and Kincaid go in the first two rounds. LaPorta, and Kraft probably go early 3rd but have a late second grade.
