With Howard franchised does Bratzke become an option to sign?

I would say no. Bratzke is not a RE, and we already have Pace who should be a solid LE.

To me, it's Kearse or none at all at DE, because I don't want to spend moneyon a temporary solution.

I love Bill Brasky. He has the strength of six mules.

Pace is a RE. Dennis Johnson was our starting LE at the end of the season.

Bratzke is past his prime. If the Cards were to sign him he would take playing time away from Kenny King and any other DE the Cards get in the draft. He's not worth it.

But I think he might of meant, which I agree with, is Pace should be playing LE. He played out of position all year.

I'd rather see Travis Hall from ATL. Supposedly they are cutting him. He's 31 years old, but would be cheap and good in the rotation.

He played in a 3-4 in College. So, given that the CARDS use a 4-3, how can we say with certainty that he played out of position last year?

Because he was the LDE until KVB tore his knee up and they switched him to the right?

At least that's how I remember it happening, or was he backing up KVB when he got hurt, don't actually remember.

I don't think Quan would agree with selling your whole soul, not Pat Tillman either.

Beause until KVB got hurt he was his backup. Plus in college he played in a hybrid 3-3-5 on the other side.

So, because he was set to be KVB's backup ar RDE, he was out of position? What does 3-3-5 have to do with 4-3?

As I recall, before KVB's injury, many were projecting PACE to become the full-time RDE at some point in the season, and moving KVB to LDE.

My point is that given that he hasn't played LDE in the NFL, nor been schooled in a 4-3 in College - there is very little info available to say with certainty that PACE is playing out of position.
