If we don't fix this OLine in this year's draft and offseason, we will NEVER fix it. This is the best year for OL in the draft I can remember, and there are good FA too.

That would be sick, but it still doesn't address pressing need at LT. I hope KC likes Joeckel enough to let Brandon Albert hit FA market.
brown at guard .signing lewan.getting wilson in the second and dj fluker in the 3th roundThis is the year we better go all out and fix the line. We must replace one if not both guards. MUST.
If we upgrade LT fine but I think Brown & Potter can be ok.
I don't think Potter is OK at LOT and neither is Levi. We have Aldon Smith and Clemons in our division and need someone who can slow them down. Potter and Levi are not that.
I still don't understand all this talk of Levi to OG stuff, he is not Leanord Davis. His skill set does not look to me like it would be translate to OG. If someone can point out to me where he has ever played OG and what particular skill he has that makes people believe he would be a better OG than OT I would like to see it.
Give me Warmack...leave Massie at RT and let Brown go back to LT with Potter being his understudy/back up.
I think Levi could play guard but I'd much prefer to see a left side of he and warmack. What did you think of Kelemete in the last game? I'd hope he's ready to unseat Snyder in camp. College sucks ass and needs to be cut IMO. What about trading down into the low teens, getting warmack and then grabbing Tyler Wilson and Cooper from NC who could play RG or C to solidy the line with the two second rounders? I think Sendlien would be ok with strong players to either side of him.

That plus his versatility. Not only is he a good player, but Jones graduated 4.0 with both his bachelors and masters degree in accounting. Plus he did mission work. This kid is exactly the type of character guy the Bidwills love. I'd be shocked if the Cardinals don't look at him.
But, there is a the possibility that Levi Brown gets beat out by Nate Potter.
At that point, does it really sound like a crazy idea to put Levi Brown out there at guard instead of Adam Snyder ?
Unless you think Adam Snyder is a better guard.
But, at that in this hypothetical situation, you have Potter beating Brown out at OT, and Snyder beating Brown out at OG...........where does that leave Brown ?
Personally ? Don't care about Levi Brown. If he wins his spot on the line then great, but I want the 5 best players on the field. If Levi Brown is not one of them, then so be it. Him being a 5th overall pick is a loooooooooong time ago, and should no longer apply when making a decision of who to start, IMO.
So, that being said, I am fine with people not wanting to move Levi Brown to guard, but not at the expense of FORCING him into the LT position. Especially if he is not the best LT on the team come training camp. So, if the "no Levi Brown at guard" camp is OK with Levi Brown at OT or no where at all, then I am OK with it too.

I have no problem with Brown being beat out at OT and being relegated to a back up, my point is this--I have seen nothing in Levi Browns game to indicate to me that he would be a better OG than OT. I think a lot of people think because Leonard Davis did it that Brown should be able to do it too, people seem to forget that Davis as great as he was as an OG was still a better OT in AZ than Levi Brown has ever been. It isn't just plug and play, we can't just say move Brown to OG and problem solved because frankly I don't buy it.
Levi at LT would merely be a band-aid. Wouldn't it be novel and kind of neat to have a really dominant player nailing down LT for years to come?I think we can clearly get one of them but the odds of getting both are slim.
We'd pretty much have to trade up to get Jones because it sounds like he's projected in the first round now.
If you knew Warmack would last a bit longer you could try to trade down get an extra pick and then use that with the 2 to trade up for Jones, but that's Russian Roulette you might lose Warmack in the process.
I have to admit the thought of plugging those two in at RG and C is awfully intriguing. Levi back at LT, Massie RT, Colledge I guess at LG, that on paper is a pretty good run blocking OL. not a great pass blocking OL but better than what we had this year.

Yeah but I think the one guy that looks like that is Joeckel and he'll be gone. If we can get one in FA I'm all for it. Move Levi back to RT we'd be MUCH better.
Just don't see us signing such a guy in FA.
There could alternatively be an argument to be made for taking Lewan in the first and 1. moving up to get Warmack or 2. holding out for Jones.
This is the opportunity to fix the line once and for all. DO IT
