if we take back Radmon, then there is no way in hell we give up the Hawks pick.

Gotta give to get, and this is the best possible deal we could hope for if Marion were traded.

Noah and Thomas would makeup for Radmanovic's bad contract, and the Hawks pick is starting to lose value since they actually look like they'll field a competitive team this season.

And who knows maybe Radman actually excells in this offense.

Plus we actually save money this season.

I'm completely missing something, why the hell are we facilitating a trade that we can be the center of.

In this 3-team, lakers end up with marion/gordon/other stuff. Why? Why are we trading marion for tyrus thomas? Why are we making this trade when the package of marion/barbosa/atl is just as good as what the lakers get in the 3-team, but instead of tyrus thomas we get kobe?

If the lakers don't want to trade kobe to us, fine, but we shouldn't facilitate a trade to another team, especially when we have a good enough package to get him straight up.

I'm guessing the Lakers don't want to send Kobe here, and this is the Suns' best chance to get some value for Marion.

Why would we help the Lakers be a part of a blockbuster trade?

No thanks to every single scenario posted on this thread.

Who cares if we are helping the Lakers in this deal, we would be helping ourselves even more. Plus how much can we be helping them when their trading away the best scorer in the NBA since Jordan. Gordon, Marion and Odom aint leading them to the playoffs in the West.

And Anyone that doesnt think Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah wouldnt be great value for Marion is clearly a Marion homer or just dumb.

Marion one way or another is gone next year, So getting two young talented scrappy players in the mold of Marion is a great pickup. (Hell i think Tyrus Thomas in the Suns system could outperform Marion within the next 2 years)

And if the Lakers wanted Marion, Barbosa and ATL 1st for Kobe, Kobe would already be a Sun.

Obviously they dont want to trade a Superstar future HOF to a division rival.

The question becomes....Do we have that much time?

I think the production from Tyrus Thomas and Noah would equal Marion this season, And by next season and beyond it would surpass him by a pretty large margin.

I think of it this way...

The Suns would've done a ATLs pick and their own pick for Noah at draft time if the Bulls wanted to do it.

And if we could get Tyrus Thomas right now for Marion one for one, the Suns would probably have a hard time turning it down considering Marion's a goner next year.

So imo we would comeout ontop in this deal because of Noah for a pick that might not even be in the lottery anymore with the way the Hawks are looking.

that's not the kobe we'd get. we'd get the kobe wanting to win a championship while having strong personalities like nash, hill, amare, and bell around to keep him in line.

We'd also get the shutdown perimeter defender Kobe.

lmao. ESPN just went to "breaking news" just to report that a three-way deal with the Bulls, Kings, and Lakers involving the likes of Ben Wallace, Ron Artest and PJ Brown (in addition to Kobe and Gordon and others) fell through. What a shocker. I can't stand Ric Bucher

Talk about a lopsided trade! I'm sure we'd HAVE TO at least include Milos Vujanic and Howard Eisley's expiring contract....

:)

Heres a pretty even deal for the Suns, Lakers and Bulls if a 3way were to go down...

Ben Wallace would be useless to the Suns and his contract is obscene.

He's a guy that rebounds & blocks shots, I agree his contract is bad but 12 million a year is better than 17 million a year. In order to get rid of Banks and Marion and receive Noah & Duhon we need salaries to match.
