Josh Smith is balling. Dude gets so much unnecessary hate.

He's showing why so many teams were interested in him when he got cut by the Pistons.

So I wonder how Dragic feels not wanting to be traded to the Rockets if those rumors were true.

Well, seeing as the 3 teams he put on his list all suck out loud and were merely glamor destinations... I doubt he cares.

It's show me the money no doubt. However, I think down deep it has to cross his mind.

I can't imagine how awful it has to be to be a Cards AND a Clippers fan.

Why don't you ever see Chris Paul take three shots in a row?
His Clips only have two rounds in them.

I just find it amazing that Doc still has a job

Other than living off the coattails of Danny Ainge who constructed a roster of Pierce, Allen and KG (which is the only time he's ever won anything in his life), he hasn't done squat.

People dismiss Spolestra by saying "Oh its because he had LeBron, Bosh and Wade" yea well Doc didn't have exactly chop liver either. Spo deserves as much credit as Doc has and that's not a good thing.

He's overrated period. Only coach to coach TWO different franchises to blowing 3-1 leads in the playoffs. That's 20% of the most epic collapses in NBA history. Not only that, but the guy coached massive choke jobs in the Finals up 3-2, while watching his team blow a 13 point fourth quarter lead in GAME 7, and then two years later, blew ANOTHER 3-2 lead in the ECF.

Bottom line... Doc is overrated as a coach, never getting the Clippers any further than Vinny Del Negro did and awful as a GM, as he has systematically stripped it of it's depth the last two years.

He has some positive traits as a coach, I think he develops players well, does a good job of managing egos (which is huge in the NBA). But his late game adjustments leave... a bit to be desired. Far too much of their 4th quarter strategy revolves around needing Paul or Griffin to pull a miracle out of their butt.

His bigger problem in LA is as a GM. He is a horror show on that front. No matter what people may think of Bledsoe at the moment it does not change that the Clippers got fleeced in that trade. Then they followed it up by shipping out a first round pick just to get rid of Dudley. They were basically using a 7.5 man rotation in the playoffs, and 2 of the guys coming off the bench were his kid and "Big Baby", both of whom almost any other team would never let on the court. Its a 3 player team with little ability to improve that roster. They were forced to play JJ Redick and Matt Barnes a combined 70 minutes a game... let that soak in.

Give him a contending roster and he has proven he can contend for a title with it... if only the Clippers roster short comings were not entirely his fault.

let me be more clear... I'm not saying Doc's a BAD coach, just an overrated one, who's teams historically have an awful penchant for choking away monster games and entire series.

Magic Johnson is even more ridiculous than Charles Barkley or Shaq and that is saying something.

Dude is absolutely clueless.

I don't know if he's clueless, but Magic has proven time and time again that he's definitely CLASSLESS. Pomp pomp cheering for DA to be fired is screwed anyway you look at it. I agree that he was a bad coach, but to celebrate a man losing his job on twitter is pretty bush league. And he was ALL OVER the Clipper's jock a week ago and tried to BUY them a year ago and now he's dancing on their grave also? It's weak sauce.

Yea but is what he said wrong? He gave the Clippers plenty of credit after their 1st round series and said stuff like "They look like they've finally turned a corner" etc.

What I find hilarious is that he's trying to make it seem as if he took over a really bad roster when he first joined the Clippers

https://twitter.com/sam_amick/status/600134564191711233

Iirc, they were coming off a 50+ win season while making it to the 2nd round of playoffs (same as Doc) while having a core of Jordan, Griffin, Paul and solid players around them. Now its Jordan, Grifffin, Paul and trash.

If you look at the roster then and look at it now, its hands down more talented back then.

And then this guy has the audacity to "laugh" at the roster as if he's done something better with it....what a joke.
