Calling for Wisenhunt to be fired halfway through his first season is pretty stupid. Name one HC who has never had a losing season. Especially in his first year. Belicheck got run out of Cleveland, Dungy started off by losing a few seasons in Tampa.

The best this offense looks is when Warner is calling his own plays...that alone speaks volumes.

I'm less than impressed halfway through his first season. But he is a rookie coach there is a chance he learns from his mistakes and learns to adapt his playbook to the talent available rather than do the square peg round hole thing.

And it doesn't even come CLOSE.

The hyperbole in this thread is off the charts.

Yay! We aren't losing by 28! Maybe you are encouraged by Whis's performance this season, but I'm not.

Not saying he should be fired, but this team looks a long way from being smart, tough or disciplined.

That says he's able to exploit mismatches on the field when the defense isn't able to substitute. He's not calling the plays in the huddle where the defensive coordinator can create the matchups he wants.

So he's just being outcoached by every other coaching staff then? A good OC exploits defensive weaknesses just like a good DC does to an offense.

Whisenhunt has his system and IMO he is too inflexible to adapt and change. We haven't seen a whole lot of success here with the creative playcalling we were all told to expect.

The reason the 2 minute offense is the only thing that works is because Whiz isnt calling the plays Warner is.

Anyone wathcing th egame on TV could see Wanrer yelling at whiz after every 3 and out. I read his lips on one which was pretty clear when he looked at whiz and say "What are you doing?"

How about the last timeout call when we didnt need it the play clock would have stopped b4 the 2 min warning. And we could have used it for the booth to review.

Nice Job Ken. Give the team another week off. Your coaching wont change squat anyway.

To say that a coach should be fired midway through their first season when their team is in second place in the division just makes you look like an idiot.

Hey Whisenhunt is better than Green. Mitch was calling for Green to be fired during preseason of his first year.

This franchise is truly making great strides! :D

This team was totally unprepared to play today. We have been horrible in the first quarter all season You're saying that the coaching has no culpability in this mess?

If we had a time machine we could go back and prepare better, but we don't.

See works in just about any thread you want to pick.

The team is a bad 3-5. They are not making the playoffs. They will lose next week. Whisenhunt's offense is a joke. Those are facts. There is no other way to look at it without bathing in Kool Aid. If you don't see a problem with the Whiz's offense I don't really know what to say.

Really? We can change the play-calling and preparation next week. All the wailing and gnashing of teeth in the world isn't going to change the fact that we didn't draft Peterson.

If you can't see the difference then I guess there is nothing more to say.

I don't think Whiz should be fired but I do have to admit I'm stunned how bad the base offense is.

I mean in hindsight as bad as Matt looked at times it's pretty obvious now it wasn't all his fault because Kurt is no more comfortable in this offense than Matt was.

I can't put my finger on what it is, but it sucks.

We can't, once it happens you can't go back, it's the same thing it's just that you want to complain about the coaching and I want to complain about passing on a guy who just rushed for 296 yards against one of the better defenses in the NFL.

It's just a matter of pick your poison to complain about.

This offense, now that the running game is completly gone, is light years worse than last year. I think the head coach will have a lot of soul searching this week.

Let me try this one more time. The preparation and play-calling sucked today. There's nothing we can do today, but hopefully the play-calling and preparation will be better next week.

No matter what the organization does, they can't go back and draft Peterson. See the difference?

No, but they can learn to not draft for need. Something that had seemed to change when Green was running the draft, but not anymore.

I'll say this, if Peterson continues to do what he's doing, some GM's are going to get fired for NOT picking him. Quite frankly I think that's a good thing it holds people accountable for their jobs. I'm not saying Graves will be fired because of a thread I started, but Whiz won't be fired over any of these threads either.

We can't get the pick back but we can't get back lots of things we debate endlessly on this board. Just don't read teh Peterson threads that's the only advice I can offer you. They're clearly labelled, stay away from them.

but they CAN fire the guy who's been responsible for just blowing personell decisions over and over again. That's what makes it the same Renz.
