I'd love to see Sullivan back here. He's a great coach.

Keeping Spencer would also be a plus.

Goodwin has a strong background in O-line coaching.

Not entirely. The OC works to develop an offensive game plan and coordinates what plays works against this opponent this week and what doesn't Of course in this particular situation that said OC won't be actually calling the plays on Sunday's, but he will have significant input with the scheme, situational, and clock management.

From a policy standpoint, yes. But there's still a ton of technique-work needing to be done by coordinators and other assistants. A HC can't be everywhere at once. Arians will need a strong support staff to get everything done & done well.

the more the merrier IMO. Our OL coach has his work cut out for him. If Arians will be doing most of the OCing, the OC definitely should be lending a hand there

He is a. Former Alabama crimson qb. 2 year starter

Not very sold on Kitchens as QB coach though.

What does he know that he couldn't impart on our current QB's? Surely Whiz turned to people on the staff, especially offense, to see if anyone could help our QB's.

Though given our QB's, it's also not entirely an indictment of him either. A Prius isn't going to beat a NASCAR stock car.

Kitchens is a good ol' boy and probably not the next great QB guru, but I'll give him this: He's earned everything he's got in his career. Clawed his way into a GA gig under Saban at LSU, earning nothing, and has worked under some great coaches. Earned enough of a reputation to get a gig with Parcells in Dallas.

He was not the prototypical game-managing Alabama QB. He liked to take chances with his big frame and body. In terms of stats, he's in the top 5 of most important QB stats in Alabama history, and that's saying something considering the legacy there.

EDIT: Forgot to add Arians was OC at Alabama for Kitchens' senior year.

As long as none of the assistants are Russ Grimm I'm a happy camper.

This will sure be an interesting season. Many of the key defensive players were in their first or second year in Arizona when Horton came in. How will they react to a new coach now that they are in their 3-4th year in the Valley?

Who is going to play QB? What will happen with Beanie Wells and Adrian Wilson? Will the new offensive line coach like Bruce Springsteen?

Lot's of fun things to discuss to carry us through the next 3 months to the draft.

Was looking at some of the other coaching rosters and came across the Rams. Jeff Fisher has more assistants on his staff than most: Assistant strength and conditioning, head coach, special teams, linebackers, offensive line, secondary, defensive line, quality control, executive assistant to coach Fisher. All assistants. He has more assistant's to the coordinators and coaches than others I've seen. He grooms for the future. Not even SF has that many assistants.
