Is Rosen really going to be a franchise qb? I'm just not sure. He is a rookie with a bad offensive line and a weak WR corp. But IMO he has not shown much improvement even with Leftwich now at OC. Maybe that is what to expect from a rookie qb. I would like to see more consistency and accuracy from him throughout the whole game. I guess we really won't know until next season after a major rebuild of the offense. Bottom line is that if he doesn't become a competent starter, the Cards will be an awful team for the next 3 to 4 years.

IMO there is absolutely no way to judge Rosen on what we've seen this year. We, without a doubt, are the worst coached team ever...dare I say ever in the NFL! lol ok maybe not that bad but still. Rosen isn't going to improve with what he has right now, not a chance. Brady and Peyton would fail in this pile of burning turd we have right now. I've written off everything about this year,
I'm not concerned about Rosen, I'm more concerned about what MB is going to do after that last game because it is going to effect more than a few players, it's going to effect this franchise on a whole for many years to come.

I can't really make a judgement on Rosen with this heaping pile of dung he is standing in right now. No receiver corps to speak of, an Oline that wouldn't start for a few major college teams and a coaching staff that has no idea how to scheme the offense to Rosen's strengths. Add in a defense that gets steamrolled by the run and the recipe for disaster is complete.

There are some troubling tendencies, but it is waaaaaay too early to give up on him.

I haven't given up on him. I don't think he will do well unless there are major changes not only of players but also the coaching staff.

Dude needs the same OC for consecutive years. I don’t remember the last time a QB has had different OCs in 4 straight years.

Alex Smithwent through a run of new OC's each season. Jay Cutler too. Those are names that immediately come to mind.

Imagine trying to judge him already. He's shown some great throws and patience mixed in with some bad stuff. I would say he's still one of the most hurried QBs in the league. Peyton threw more picks than scores in his rookie year - must be a bust.

My biggest concern is that we destroy Rosen’s career the way David Carr’s career was ruined behind a horrendous Offensive Line.

Would Tom Brady be one of the greatest QB of all time if the Cardinals drafted him?

I believe Rosen can be great if he has the right coaching and supporting players.

Have seen good and bad from him which is what I would expect. Don't know how it will turn out but way too early to judge.

Alex Smith had 7 offensive coordinators in 7 years.
He also broke his shoulder and was told to lift weights on that bad shoulder.
Alex Smith also threw 11 interceptions to 1 touchdown in his rookie year.
where am I going with all this rambling?
Lets hope Josh Rosen can survive this toxic situation that he is going through, and become a decent qb.

Dare I mention another QB who never had continuity of scheme or coaching? Let's just say a former Cardinals QB suffered the same thing and it isn't good for a QB IMO. Hopefully for Rosen and the Cardinals there is an up and coming coach they can lure to the desert. Settling for a coordinator who is just happy to get a job offer(which is what Wilks sure seems like at this point) just isn't going to cut it.

Well, we all now know that Josh Rosen can't overcome bad coaching and a bad offensive line. That is what I am taking out of this situation. If we can't improve those areas for him, he will be a bust for the Cardinals.

Usually rookie QBs are only starting on bad teams and it reflects in their numbers. Some of the greatest QBs have had horrible rookie seasons. The most important thing is that Rosen doesn't look flustered and pulls through with confidence. Kolb was talented too, but when under similar circumstances he escaped the pocket immediately, put his eyes down and threw the ball away. I'd rather take Rosen who is standing tall in the pocket, making his reads and isn't afraid to throw past the sticks. Some of these passes result in interceptions, but this will only help Rosen to grow. In the meantime, we must fix the OL.

Peyton Manning threw for 223 YPG as a rookie. The Colts were 19th in scoring and 29th (2nd to last) in scoring defense. That's why their record was so bad. Also, that was 20 years ago.

Rosen sounded a little shaken up and down in the mouth at the end of today's press conference. There aren't any answers out there for him aside from "I have to play better."

The arm strength and footwork is there, he definitely takes too many chances though. Also often airmails his outs too much.

The offensive line, wide receivers, and coaching are all horrendous of course. Like McGinnis era bad.

Buffalo has a bad offensive line too but did you see the game Allen had yesterday? And Allen doesn't have near the receivers that Rosen has. I'm tired of the excuses. I'm not saying he's a bust but it's not looking like he's the savior people made him out to be. I'm not giving up on him because I'd love to see what a good offensive coach can do with him but as for now, he's on par with Drew Stanton at best.

Here's the perplexing deal:

Is there a QB iikely to be available in next year's draft who's better than Rosen and, therefore, worth drafting.

Hmmmmm.
