Oh yeah, you know its coming. One of the Warner haters is typing up a draft right now. :D

One bad game for Warner will get it going, and from there it will never stop until the day Denny says Matts the man.

hey Roth came in a did it, right? :D

First we had the Jake must go, jake must stay threads (which they are about to fire up again on the donkey boards big time).

Then we had the Joshua McCown camp vs. the world threads.

Now it'll be Leinart vs. Warner threads (with moklerman setting up strawman arguments for Kurt).

what will be great is to get a look at Leinart in the preseason, behind our back-up offensive line.

(lol, but seriously, I couldn't be more stoked. We're on a freakin' roll!)

I sure do not want to go through that again. With the fans chanting for Plummer. We need to have Leinhart watch this year and not go in over his head. We have an outstanding QB starting if he stays healthy. Let us keep it that way.

The only reason I'm writing on this topic isd to make it perfectly clear. IMO most Cardinal fans hoipefully understand that the best possable thing to happen is for Matt to watch this year. Come into games late if we are winning big and if, And I say if Kurt gets hurt( I think he will play the whole season this year) he would come in. This is Kurts team this year and probably next.

We will hand over this championship team to Lienart in 2008 and he will make it that much better then. Bottom line I will not be calling for Matt this year no matter what happens.

IF Warner gets hurt early this season Navarre will be playing not Leinart...I stand by my belief that Leinart will be #3 for at least the first month or 2 of the season. He'll eventually beat Navarre out in practice but it won't happen early on.

Thats when we'll hear the chants for Leinart, if Navarre gets a start because of a Warner injury one series of 3 and out and we'll hear the screams rain down from the fans.

The best thing for Matt is to sit the whole year and just learn, learn, learn. He's a smart kid, and when he is given the reins of the team, a year of sitting will make him that much better.

I'm going to be angry the first time Warner throws a pick or something and braindeads start chanting "We want Matt, We want matt..."

I never chant for someone til I season reason in PReseason or the other guy is just plain bad... Warner is not that bad but it would make for great PR if Leinart beat out Warner to start in the new stadium

Unfortunatelly I do not see Kurt making it through a whole season without injury. If Navare is playing we will not be winning. I do not want Matt to Start but it will not take him long to pass Navare in practice.

could not agree more....too bad we will see either guys who need to cause controversy in the newspapers write some dung to keep the sagging sales from saggin less...or some dull bulbs post some junk. not only was matt a great pick but even lewis is an excellent project and value at 6.

Data Anyone??

So, when was the last time Warner played a complete season without injury? Do we have any evidence that suggests that Navarre is better than Matt? Just a couple of questions that should yield data to inform the discussion.

i say navare, davey, and leinart battle it out for the backup qb position. i have no problem leinart starting if warner goes down. all the experts say he more ready to start. i know their still a huge learning curve for leinart. like the speed of the game. the speed of the players. he going to have to adjust. their is a whole lot more zone blizing in the pros than in college. i feel he will do just fine. i can see a warner/manning situation coming this season. i want warner to start all season long, but i wouldn't be disappointed if leinart gets the nod if warner goes down.

I highly doubt Warner plays all 16 games. I agree w/ those who've said Navarre will start 2, but probably slide down. I figure Warner gets hurt sometime between games 9-12 and Leinart ends up getting 1 or 2 starts. Probably looks mediocre and we lose or split the games. And I dont think that would be a bad thing.

I think kurt warner is such a good person not to mention one of the greatest QB's to ever put on a Cardinals uniform... I am honestly hoping that he does not have to deal with any shame or mistreatment from the team or our fans...He is a competitor and im glad to have him as our starter (Leinart or no Leinart) GO KURT!

If the season goes as we are all hoping it to, then Leinart could step in if needed much the same way Rothlisberger did.

In other words, turn and hand it to Edge , turn and hand it to Edge, turn and fake it to Edge and lob it up for Fitz and Q.

He would not be asked to come in here and put the team on his shoulders.

P.S. Leinart will enter the season as the #2 qb. JMHO.

Hopefully, it will take at least 32 games for Warner to be replaced.

If I could pick out my best senario it would be that Leinart sits for two years (with some playing time the second year).

We have Edge gaining 1400yds rushing so Kurt is not a sitting duck in the backfield. That way, he stays healthy.

I would love to see Kurt take us to the playoffs this year and win the division or NFC in 2007.

also, Boldin and Fitz both go to the Pro-bowl. :D
